@dimez97 Being a good student, making good grades, and doing well on placement tests could help you land in a good architecture school, which in turn may lead to some initial job offers in the professional field if you have developed a good portfolio. It is by FAR easier to go this route (hard work early) then to go to a mediocre school, battle for job prospects right out of college and push yourself up the ladder. The second route requires talent, passion and luck.
What a great pair of future home owners to work with! I bet they came to you as a relief, I bet you were waiting for them in a long time! Their styles are similar in a way, unique of course, but they match! I can see the sleek and almost minimalist quality of their art sewed in a loving building with an attitude. All about the Lyod's elegance meeting the pop culture, a roof drowning in the landscape with dannish yet vibrant interior beneath! Sounds like home to me, I think I'm up for adoption!
i'm grateful with you Sir because i can watch this videos on youtube, i am an student of architecture and THIS help me a lot to can understand what this is all about. i feel i can not understand architecture jet, because the word "architecture" come with a lot of responsabilities it also is soo unique and beautiful.
Keep making videos because you inspire a lot of people like me.
Hey Doug! You should make a video on how to sketch quickly like an architect. Im sure it would help a lot of students. P.S. just wanna let you know you have fans in the Cebu architecture school community.Keep up the good work!
hey doug! watching your videos has seriously inspired me to become an architect -- really! im applying for colleges that offer architecture. what should i expect as an architecture student? the course work/load/college life as an architecture student. ive looked for vlogs about this but it's mainly students going through medical school who vlog about their schooling process. that would make an AWESOME video :D
Oh doug i wish you started this series 5 weeks ago when i started my final project about building a retreat for a client in cyprus. anyways thansk for the videos love them
WOW how do you come up with such original series hahaha Great videos Doug, they are extremely helpful, teaching me the practical side of architecture that we don't really learn at school. Keep up the good work.
Doug, I really enjoy your talent, and look forward to seeing the project develop. PS I am an architect of 30 years and would love to have the publishing talent that you make seem so easy.
Now lets get to programming their studios... I want to see what kinds of enclosures will continue to inspire...
Thank you verty much to you marvelous work Doug. I'm a young architect in the South of Brazil and your videos inspire me to rethink my work and be a better professional. Keep working!
Did you find easy to be an architect? Because i am only 14 years old and i want to be an architect soooo bad, but i am afraid that i won't get a job! Please help me!
@TheGoslapa, don't let that get in your way, fear will only limit how far you'll go in life. i too was scared about finding a job in the architecture field, after i graduated took me 8moths to find a job. But things are working out fine, :)
@TheGoslapa don't worry about getting a job. If it your burning, you will make jobs for yourself, go through trials and tribulations, and one day wake up as having lived a satisfying life.
I am 15 years old and my dream is to become an arhitect,so, my question is do i have to be a 100% good student to become an architect?

Good clients. I'm sure they don't want romanic columns supporting a huge triangle above the main entrance of there home as do one of mine.

@TheGoslapa dont worry about that, by the time you would be an architect, were 10 years further and it will be an empty market again.
