The way the emotion was portrayed in the movie was spectacular. Its hard to have barely anyone talking and still have powerful emotions almost radiating off the characters. This movie should be nominated for best picture. Its one of pixar's few movies that, in my opinion, had the old Disney charm and magic to it.

Yes, it had the old Disney charm but what I also found so incredible about this movie is that it dares to have a strong message and feature some serious issues that the world is faced with today. I have not seen that in any other Disney movie, but I welcome the move.

Sorry, they can't nominate it for best picture. Beauty and the Beast nearly won because it qualified for Best Picture. Then they made a controversial move and made a new category called Best Animated Feature, meaning that nothing animated can get best picture. Something with special effects, yes; completely animated like Wall-E, Finding Nemo, The Incredibles, The Lion King, Spirited Away, etc., no, those sadly can't even be nominated for Best Picture.

Animation is not a genre it's a medium.

I'm pretty sure that's actually not true. From the Academy's eligibility rules:

"Films submitted in the Best Animated Feature Film category may qualify for Academy Awards in other areas, including Best Picture, provided they meet the rules criteria governing those categories."

The Academy voters do seem to think that winning Best Animated Feature should be enough, but I don't think it's officially against the rules.

His music is different of the comercial sound even so he had won the admiration of people -like me- who don't believe in his talent.
