On another note: I'd think that what our nations leaders have for the health benefits should be good enough for all? How about using that as the rule of thumb for the pesants quality of care?
Ladies and gentlemen, If this reform removes options as shown on page 15-18, and subs that are stated, this is socialized medicine. This is also a monumental invasion of doctor / patient decisions and imperils the sanctity and safety of life, both unborn and aged. I will move from this country if we lose any more of our freedom. Either unequal in freedom, or equal in slavery. I'd rather be without, but free. Mr. Camp, I'll visit you in Midland. Keep fighting this soc. agenda. Cheers.
Mr. Camp, it has been too long for health care reform. You should do an unbiased poll to your constituents and you will find that they want health care reform now.
Go to CSPAN, and review all the hearings on rescission and other dirty tactics by health insurance companies and you will learn what your constituents already know: that health insurance companies and hospitals make healthcare inaccessible and expensive for one reason: because they can.
Dave Camp unbiased!? He seems to work for whomever has enough money to buy him. That's not the regular people in his district. I've written him letters urging him to support HR676 but all I get is a bunch of buzz phrases and no. I signed a petition going around here that has hundreds of signatures. People are walking the streets asking for signatures urging Camp to support public health care for all Americans. But Camp is a slimy weasel, I'd eat my hat if he ever does the right thing.
I can't believe how out of touch some congressmen are with the horrible health care situation. I also contacted my representative and he sent me a canned message back that said "the US health care system is the best in the world"... That shows that 1. he doesn't care, or 2, he has no idea of the reality.
Camp references the Clinton health care bill, and how good the analysis was... maybe he liked it because they crushed it; back then, we spent 11% of GDP in healthcare, now we spend 19%. God.
Have you seen the Frank Luntz memo to the GOP on talking points to try to kill any meaningful health care reform? I'll send you a link. It's amazing you can listen to Camp or any one of these talking heads and hear pretty much word for word the contents of that memo! It's just a game they are playing. They do not care that you and I want a real and affordable health benefit.
