I do let the board control me sometimes. On ramp, especially... I won't know what trick I'm going to do until I'm already on the ramp. I'm more prone to being spontaneous and just hanging on for the ride. It's fun.
oh ya. i was watching the x games and the commentators were talking about how you'd better know what you're doing before you do it. but of course that's a competition. lol but your way sounds much more fun. it seems like you care more about having fun skateboarding than being technical and getting famous. i like it
Hey Neal! It's Ally! Me, my boyfriend Chad, his twin Brad, some other sick skater, and Shane drilled that box in the post. I had to keep watch of the shop and my friend Brad said I can go skate he will keep watch. So I tried to show off in the half-pipe while they were screwing the box in the post and I busted my butt really hard! It's was funny. I still have the scabs and scars to prove it.
Those are battle scars, ma'am! Getting hurt sucks (I've had my share of injuries over my past couple of decades in skateboarding), but I think it makes us tougher. I mean, we eat concrete, get up, and do it again until we land it. Now, be safe skating, but wear those battle scars proudly. Skate tough, Ally! Peace!
Hahaa, yeah, I had been skating or 5 hours straight, plus it was hot in there, then compound that with dirty south Louisiana humidity... I leave snail trails for days! haaha
LOL I know the way it gets, I live in albuquerque, unlike Louisiana it's really dry here but it can reach 100F in the summer. I can drink a gallon of water in the morning and be thirsty by noon because I sweat so much.
Also, love your profile page. I'm a firefighter here in NM so I know exactly what you mean by feeling good about helping out in your city. Anyway keep posting these vids man it's refreshing seeing someone that's not worried about going pro and just skates for the love of it!
try 100F + 100% humidity... it sucks, I end up skating MUCH less here in Louisiana in the summer because on some days, it's almost unbearable. forreal. hahaha
you freaking suckkkkkkkkk

$20 Reeboks from TJ Maxx... I usually skate Vans but I rock the big fat white stompers when my ankles are sore.
I accept the freshness, though, hahaha. Cheers!
