  • he really looks like Mr. Coltrane...

  • I CAN'T STOP WATCHING THIS!!!

  • Joeys comping is just sublime on this

  • feeling this :)

  • branford marsalis is so gifted, intelligent, also ambitious-- in a good way: he tries for really *challenging* projects... i love the conception here, the tribute to trane, and an illumination in the music that's... well, i guess his connection to "supreme love"...!! Bravo!!!

  • Wow. Just wow. So beautiful.

  • nice i think coltrane would have a smile on his face

  • I LOVE THE OPENING TO THIS COMPOSITION.

  • amazing i heard this first on the dutch radio, nice to hear it after two years. in the spirit of coltrane

  • Wow the sound on this sucks. You guys have to buy this DVD!! I think it is one of the best jazz DVD's ever for sound, video, and of course performance. I've seen this group many times and I was mind blown how close this DVD came to being right there live. I'm sorry to see Tain has left, as this was the ONE SHOW at Blues Alley in DC I would never ever miss. From 1999 - 2007 I never missed a show in my area. Like getting on a musical magic carpet ride.

  • God's favorite instrument is the saxophone .....

    Peace ~

  • Nice Music man! Not the same as Stolen Moments Red Hot + Cool, Bonus CD. If I were Jesus I would like this.

  • amazing i love this

  • just as good as the original

  • cmon now, you dont really think that do you? i mean this is great but did you realize where coltrane was coming from? a 7 year spiritual walk with God, through trials, tribulations, addiction, ups, downs, he encountered a spiritual revelation, an awakening which brought forth the music that will never be matched. i like what theyve done with it, but theyre using a love supreme as an axis point for themselves. while refreshing and a great tribute, no one in their right mind would compare.

  • @HendrixClaptonSRV what ever. i really don't give a fuck what you have to say

  • @HendrixClaptonSRV Coltrane would roll over in his grave after reading your assessment of Branford Marsalis' tribute to A Love Supreme.

  • Such a nice interpretation. More major modes used in this than the original- makes for a refreshing re-evaluation of the flavour.

  • Don't you think this would make Coltrane smile? Wow!

  • @mettarefuge Yes!

  • This version is not the version on the "Stolen Movements" CD.... I love this interpretation.

  • The DVD is Branford Marsalis - A Love Supreme Live

  • @MyohoSound Thanks. I'll be buying this one.

  • Great interpretation. off the chains.

  • Epic piece.. Puts me back on my square.

  • rest in peace john ...

  • Incredible. This was just about the only thing on my CD player for a couple weeks straight after I bought it.

  • @Lahi53 what's this CD called? Must...purchase...

  • @TyedSoul "Stolen Moments: Red Hot + Cool", on the bonus disc.

  • awesome
