  • I'd rather buy a lotto ticket

  • after he got bet, i stopped watching. LOL.

  • Roger Craig's a beast

  • I knew it as Bridge Over the River Kwai

  • And after the Fed rapes his wallet, he'll be permitted by the IRS brown shirts to pocket $25,000.

  • didnt ken score 40k-80k daily?

  • @Slinker19 No, Ken Jennings played it safe. He usually won in the low 20k. He always bet low, just enough to keep from losing to the second highest player should be get the Final Jeopardy answer wrong. He was a smart player, saw that he could win more by winning less but keep coming back for more.

  • @gimpinmypants ah thanks

  • was i the only one who thought this was going to be the football player

  • IRS

  • What a boss! I'll bet it all

  • This guy is a fucking douche

  • lol that they both spelled the last word wrong. Probably copying each other.

  • As I speak, he is in the TOC finals.

  • @SuperGamer7 and got a 50000 first day score...

  • @Shisehise He actually could have broken his own one day record. He showed restraint though in FJ, good, because it is the TOC finals. .

  • DubCmusicTV: Checking the Jeopardy Web site, the other contestant *finished* with 10,000. (He entered Final Jeopardy with 5,400 and picked up 4,600 for a correct answer.) So, Craig's 30,000 bet did not risk losing. If he really wanted to put up a big score, he could have safely bet up to 36,199, which would have given him a final total over 83,000.

  • I know him

  • $2000 difference betewwn the two

  • wow

  • Roger Craig kinda looks like Jack Black with shorter hair! Haha! XD

  • He should've wagered 26,999. would be funny if he lost! hahah

  • Jennings may have hit the most home-runs, but this guy hit the longest home-run.

  • @Rodgerwilco91 A home run is a home run. :)

  • KJ was getting the answers in private briefings before the show. They were about to go under. Look at the FACTS. KJ was a MEDIA PLOY. I've met the man, he's smart, but not as smart as they made him out to be.

  • In some ways Rutter was superior, in others Jennings. Whichever way you slice it, both were outstanding players.

  • Or...you could go on Who Wants to be a Millionaire, not be an idiot, and win twice as much as this guy in half the time.

  • If a contestant correctly answers all questions, finds the Daily Doubles last and in the 3rd position, they can win $547,200! . Jeopardy Round $3000/category x 6 categories = $18,000 $18,000 - $600 (3rd position) = $17,400 Daily Double yields $17,400 x 2 = $34,800 . Double Jeopardy Round $34,800 + $6000/category x 6 categories = $70,800 $70,800 - $1,200 (3rd position) x 2 =$68,400 Daily Doubles yield $68,400 x 2 x 2 = $273,600 . Final Jeopardy Round $273,600 x 2 = $547,200 . Good Luck, America.
  • @mrmax86 it also depends on where the daily doubles are at on the board.

  • Man I miss Roger and Tom Kunzen from this year, even though it's good to see that Christopher Short has won six games. I also miss Ken and David.

  • Comment removed

  • I answered every one of these right.

  • Roger Craig sort of looks like Jack Black..

  • Thanks a lot for posting this.

  • Unless you count Roger Craig's $1,000 runner-up prize, then it's $4,000.

  • You won't believe this, but Tom Nissley's total winnings is now $5,000 more than Roger Craig's final total winnings.

  • Nobody will ever be a greater jeopardy player than Ken Jennings. Nobody can touch Jennings in Jeopardy. Not even Rutter.

  • @dkblade27

Rutter has never lost. Jennings has lost twice. Both times to Rutter.

  • @WhatTheCucumber

Rutter is amazing but I'll place him on the #2 spot. Rutter just lost to Jennings on the IBM challenge & Jennings won the Grand Slam challenge where Rutter competed as well. I dont think there will ever be another human being like Ken Jennings. He is definitely the greatest Jeopardy player of all time. He's artistic, sharp, intelligent, witty, and also a good sport and humble person. He's truly one of a kind.

74 wins in a row is truly unprecendented.

  • @dkblade27

Okay, but at Jeopardy, Brad is the most kickass. The only thing that really enabled Ken to win by a margin was his buzzer speed. And I'll try not to genealize, but Mormons are usually really humble because they believe they will obtain a planet if they do so.

Both are top players, I don't want to compare them.

  • @WhatTheCucumber Rutter lost to Watson and Jennings.

  • @Bluedybluedyblue

I acknowledged that. Again, that is very likely a result of Watson stealing Brad's questions.

  • @WhatTheCucumber No clues were "stolen" from Brad; he never possessed them. He was slower at the buzzer than Ken and, of course, Watson. Buzzing in is a major part of the game. If you're slower than someone with comparable trivia knowledge, then you're a worse Jeopardy! player.

  • @WhatTheCucumber

Rutter just wasn't as good, no shame in that but he clearly was the inferior player to both the computer and Jennings

  • @williambobthorton

As a rule, Rutter is a superior Jeopardy player, but inferior in trivia because of his buzzer speed. Rutter defeated Jennings in two tournaments prior to this exhibition match. In other words, Rutter is still the all time champ. Rutter's hand speed wasn't with him that day. He very visibly was out-buzzed by Watson on questions he knew the answers to.

  • @WhatTheCucumber

No, buzzer speed is part of the skill involved in Jeopardy - which would make Jennings the superior Jeopardy player.

  • @dkblade27 Rutter did.

  • @dkblade27

Rutter destroyed Jennings in Ultimate Tournament of Champions.

Rutter has accrued more Jeopardy money than Jennings.

    Rutter is better.

  • @ImperialDecree

Rutter destroyed Jennings only because Jennings had already won 2.5 million dollars. There must be a balance in money distribution in life. This is the psychology of the world. But all in all, Jennings is better. He won the IBM jeopardy challenge.

  • @dkblade27

So Ken Jennings was just being generous and let Rutter beat him in the biggest event in Jeopardy history? 0_o

  • @ImperialDecree

no Rutter won that fair and square. What im trying to say is that in all human competitions, whenever two or more than two really great competitors face off at a very high level, one individual cannot gain all the fame and wins. There will be upsets. Its very hard to explain so I wont blame if you dont get it.

  • @dkblade27

I understand. Jennings did after all pull off a 74 straight game victory earning his 2.5 mil, while Rutter dominated all of Jeopardy's major tournaments before Ken Jennings.

    They've both bested each other.

  • @dkblade27 actually, i touched ken. but then i got arrested for it.

  • Ken Jennings was an inside job for ratings.

  • @ThumbsUpBrah I wonder too... starting to think it's all fixed!!!-! Watson & TORONTO -- I'm from Toronto!

  • @dkblade27 and how close Ken Jennings came to losing on his first day. Butterfly effect in action...

  • i didnt even know that you could wager that much i was like holy s***!!!

  • he finally lost after winning 6 days

    NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

  • Craig would have gotten beat today had the lady had the correct answer on Final Jeopardy. I guess you have to be a little lucky to go on a long streak. Wonder how many times it happened to Jennings.

  • Anyone remember a contestant during the 94-97 college tournament. He wore a suit and was always serious. He looked like he was going to kill the other contestants...........lol. Everytime he got a daily double he would make it a true daily double. His agressive betting eventually lost him the tournament!

  • This guy is good, Roger Craig is amazing but nothing beats the performance of Ken Jennings when he smashed the one day my record by 23000!!!!

Ken has and will always be idol!!!

I hope Roger goes as far!

  • @crobe041 yeah Ken and Roger don't have an * by the name as they would of beaten Jeorme had the $ values not been doubled

  • this guy is still undefeated 5-day

  • From $52.000 record, Ken Jennings make new record of $75.000 and Roger Craig end Ken Jennings record with $77.000 how if he play with Ken Jennings?

  • I was in the audience for this :p

  • I don't think Roger will win 70 odds games...but I could be wrong. He shoots from the hip and takes way to many chances. I do think he's the srtrongest players I've seen since Jennings.

I do think the producers knew he was a strong contestant so they scheduled him in the first week of a new season.

In any case if he ever gets into a Masters tourament he'll get ruled by Brad Rutter.

  • I agree about taking too many chances. Many idyllic contestants in the past have been really bright but blew it by taking too many chances. 1 girl was about 25-30 years old. I think she was a grad student. She was pretty cute and had brown hair. She appeared inbetween 2004-2007. I remember she would get all the answers right but then blew it all on daily doubles. She eventually lost on final jeopardy on a question. She won only 2-3 days but her agressive betting was unforgettable

  • rokkin rog!

  • i watched this haha. what an awesome moment.

  • This guy si smart I hope he wins 200 shows in a row

  • Roger absolutely DESTROYED the Double Jeopardy round. i think he answered every question but 1.

  • Nighty Night Ken Jennings!

  • @DLTDawnlight But as of right now, he still holds the record for the most amount of money won on a game show, as well as two Jeopardy! records: most games won and most money won in regular competition.

  • @JeopardyandWheelFan

Yeah, I wonder if this guy has potential to be the next Ken Jennings.

  • I recorded that episode today.

  • @trivia212005 Could you PLEASE put it up?

  • @NebraskaFan77

I don't have the equipment and it's not finalized til I get all the episode I can into one disc.

  • He's techinically a classmate since I am also a U.D Comp Sci Grad Student.

  • Andy Richter won $68K on his celeb game last Fall, and may well have broken Ken's or Roger's one-day total if he'd managed to find the second Daily Double before time ran out in the second round.

  • rokk it
