  • seperation of church and state, heres the argument

    goverment says freedom of religion

christians agree as long as its christ

    see the problem?

  • dc is not a state...

  • "The constitutional principle of separation of church and state has given Americans more religious freedom than any people in world history. Around the globe, those suffering under the heavy heel of government-sponsored religious oppression look to America's church-state model with longing. The "wall of separation between church and state" is America's bulwark of true religious liberty."

  • Christian Conservative here. I wonder how many dicks this bitch sucked to get her job.

  • i really wish the christian would just die or go away some where else im sick of those fucking people if they are huan at all so fucking tired of their made up shit

  • @starscreamdkmo its been here longer then us ALL

  • It doesn't really matter what you think it means, or what I think it means. I depends on what the Supreme Court thinks.

  • Dear Boys,

There can be more than one reason to ask a question. One is to get information when one is unaware. Another is to test the knowledge of a person to wit whether that person is correct, or not.

The separation of church and state is not found in the United States' constitution. It is in article 52 of the 1977 version of the Soviet constitution.

That lovely moral lady was right.

  • @theocrat2 What exactly do you think the 1st amendment means?

  • @theocrat2 Dear Moron Cunt,

The First Amendment reads "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof."

I looked up article 52 of the 1977 Soviet Constitution and it has to deal with "Freedom of Expression", but The government then had the power to ban meetings by religious groups, and violations of the laws limiting the right to freedom of religious expression were severely punished under the republics' criminal codes.

  • Dear Fishqueen1972,

    Thanks.

I think that the first sixteen words of the first amendment mean, The United States' legislature may not legislate to prefer or favour a denomination (or sect or society) of Christianity, [more than any other Christian sect] nor may the congress make any law to stop the unrestricted or unlimited practise of the God ordained way of his Son the Lord Jesus Christ.

That is based on, establishment, meaning, denomination, religion, meaning, Christianity, etc.

  • @theocrat2 Erecting the "wall of separation between church and state," therefore, is absolutely essential in a free society. -Thomas Jefferson

The first amendment does NOT specify preference of one religion, in fact, it states quite the contrary. The founding fathers are abundantly clear in many letters that our government is constructed on a secular foundation with the freedom of and from religion included.

The lies that the religious propagate only hurt themselves.

  • Still thousands and thousands of idiots voted for her...

  • I don't want to sound like a total douche-bag, but can I ask what your guys's religious views are?

  • @snaredrums123 Why is there a litmus test for being a caring human being. The new breed of TEA publicans are a bunch of toadies for some very rich people. They use christian values as a diversionary tactic to pull in nice people like you.

  • @rickyschultzusa

Chill out, I'm an atheist. I was just curious.

  • This is the MAJOR reason why young Democrats MUST get out the vote!!! O'donnells crowd wants to get rid of pell grants and other assistance for students. She wants to repeal the ability for a student to be on their parents health insurance until age 26 which just became law this year.

Any young person who votes republican is simply not voting in their own self interest... unless they come from an incredibly wealthy family.

  • @rickyschultzusa I agree with everything you said, but many Democratic candidates are making themselves almost as unattractive to young liberal voters as Republicans. Even Obama, the alleged "most liberal Senator in Congress" backed away from the public option, backed up Wall Street, and most recently said he would EXTEND Don't Ask Don't Tell. With LIBERALS like this, who needs Conservatives?

  • @ChildofBrando The alternative to the Democrat is so extremely against pell grants for college students, and for repealing the minimum wage, social security just for beginners. If you don't like everything the democrat stands for hold your nose when you vote, as they are more closely aligned with your needs than anything else out there.

  • @rickyschultzusa Again, I agree with you, and I think it's a pretty sad state of affairs we're in.

  • yeah, we really needed another Sarah Palin. Isn't one complete buffoon in politics more than we need?

  • The point she was trying to make was that the phrase is found nowhere in the Constitution. Twist it however you want, we all know the cookie cutter liberal playbook to campaigning. Hide your own ideals and policies out of embarrassment and engage in character attacks ad-nauseum. Ask yourself why Coons couldn't name the 5 freedoms that are actually in the First Amendment.

  • Shes a good looking woman. Pretty typical that shes a retard.

  • I'm only in 8th grade and I understand the 1st ten amendments fully. This is just sad, definitely ignorant too. How dare they use a name in reference to the Boston Tea Party? The Sons of Liberty actually did that to fight for the rights of the colonists while this party really is just a facade, a very apparent one too.

  • @Weepearl You're in 8th grade? Your page says your 17. You really are a dumb liberal.

  • this shows how ignorant are the Tea crap!, Now to be fair not all republicans are like her, but sadly they gone too far right! so I'll still voTe Democrat.

  • like this vid u guys did very good

  • She is far behind in the polls and she will lose. Why are we still paying attention to her? She's another Sarah Palin. What next? CNN reporting on her Twitter posts? Do we really need another fucktarded clown in the news everyday? Someone needs to lock Palin and O'Donnell and Glenn Beck and all the other irrelevant clowns away in a closet somewhere so they can't waste our time and poison the simple minds of right wingnuts ever again.

  • How the hell can you not have to be an expert in the Constitution and be running for public office? That's like being a referee in a football game and you don't know the rules. YOUR JOB IS TO BE A LAWMAKER! How can you not know what authority and constraints are given to you by the Constitution?

  • Separation of church and state? When does that happen D: seriously most politicians go by their religious values to sway their ideas XD I wish that was not true but it is.

  • and yet people will still vote for her and and she'll probably get elected, even though she's been proven a LIAR over and over.

  • I wonder if she is going to be elected. Bush was elected pres twice. This chick will probably get her own television show. Get paid big bucks for a book and all that. Maybe she is a lot smarter than we think she is, in that regard. I think the democrats have a good chance to win this one.

  • lol shes her worst enemy.

  • Christene O'Donnel might actually win. Unfortunately, a great amount of Americans are programmed to actually take people like her seriously.

  • "The easy target?" "It's almost laughable." Idiots. O'Donnell was 100% correct when she continually stated that "separation of church and state" is not in the First Amendment. 100% correct. You have no idea how ridiculous the two of you sound.

    -Molotov Mitchell

  • @illuminatitv You're kidding right? No, the exact words of "separation of church and state" are not specifically stated in the 1st amendment...is correct. BUT the phrase "wall of separation between the church and the state" was originally coined by Thomas Jefferson. Considering the T-Tards claim to OWN the Founding Fathers, O'Donnell should have known that! Separation of Church is a metaphor for the Establishment Clause & the Free Exercise Clause of the First Amendment.

    Now who's laughable?

  • @classc63 First off our founding fathers had just succeeded in a major war from THE CHURCH OF ENGALND hence the "Establishment Clause”. Secondly the "Free Exercise Clause" of the 1st amendment only states thee government cannot favor one religion over another. Those are the only 2 parts that cover religion in the 1st Amendment. So then how is it every US military base all over the world has a tax tayer funded chapel?

  • @ClassicFIHD So what the fuck is your point? Look up the word "precedence" and then get back to me.

  • @classc63 What the hell does "precedence" have to do with anything here? Come up with a liberal left wing nut rational then get back to me.

  • @ClassicFIHD Arizona Christian School Tuition Organization v. Winn (2010),Salazar v. Buono (2009), Pleasant Grove City v. Summum, Hein v Religious Freedom Foundation (2007), Van Orden v. Perry, Elk Grove School District v. Newdow, Zelman v. Harris-Simmons (2002), Mitchell v. Helms (2000), Santa Fe Independent School District v. Doe (2000), Rosenberger v. Rector and Visitors of the University of Virginia (1995), ETC.

Now you figure it out GENIUS!!!

  • @classc63 He rocket scientist, did you read those cases? First one gave scholarships to students to go to "parochial school". Why don't you look up what a "parochial school" is. THEY TEACH A SPECIFIC RELIGION. Second case you mentioned was about a cross, A CHRISTIAN CROSS. THEY FAVORED ONE RELIGION OVER ANOTHER. While you're at it look up what "Free Exercise Clause" of the 1st amendment" is. Talk about being a GENIUS. I love when you liberals prove my point for me.

  • @ClassicFIHD And I LOVE it when T-TARDS try to defend Christine O'Donnell! LMAO

  • @classc63 And I love it when the RE-TARDS defend someone who doesn’t know the 5 freedoms that are in the Amendment they falsely claim to know.

  • @illuminatitv ODonnel asks him "the separation of church and state can be found in the first amendment?" He replies "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion." Then she replies "That's in the first amendment?"

She really did look like a fool. He was right, she was wrong. Some have mentioned that Thomas Jefferson himself stated that phrase in the 1st amendment built the wall between church and state.

  • @regemo Thomas Jefferson said it in a letter. That letter IS NOT PART OF THE CONSTITUTION.

  • @ClassicFIHD "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion." IS part of the constitution. It speaks for itself.

  • @regemo Duh! How does that mean they cannot support religions that already exist? That part is in there because our founding fathers had just fought a major war where they succeeded from a government that had established it own church that disallowed other religions to be observed by the government. Ever hear of 'The Church of England'? Our government spend money all the time on common areas like Chapels in all military bases, the Pentagon, the US Senate and House.

  • @ClassicFIHD You do know that that sentence means that congress will not favor any religion right? That they are almost religion blind?

That is the start of "separation of church and state" without actually using that phrase. When the opponent said the message of "separation of church and state" was in the 1st amendment O'donnel asks him to clarify. He gives her the "Congress shall make no law..." sentence. Then she asks, "that's in the 1st amendment?"

    ...

  • @regemo She was still talking about church and state, but that's mute because you will never believe that.

  • @ClassicFIHD That's presumptive of you. And I will believe whatever the evidence shows, in this case the video shows. After he clearly states the full sentence, she asks him if that is in the 1st amendment. In the English language that we use she would be referring to what he just said before she spoke.

  • @regemo "That's presumptive of you"

  • @illuminatitv

That exact phrase is not in the First Amendment, no. But that's exactly what the First Amendment means, to which she expresses shock. Even when the First Amendment is explained to her she expresses shock. She clearly doesn't know what's in the First Amendment. CLEARLY.

  • @illuminatitv

Right. I mean, it's not her fault that she's too stupid to actually read the first amendment and critically think about its implications. It's laughable that people actually try to argue that one of the principles the U.S. was founded upon was not separation of church and state. I'm in awe every time someone attempts it. It shows a complete lack of intelligence, "Molotov Mitchell".

  • @balticseaamber Wow, so I guess all those Chapels paid for by tax dollars at all those US military bases all over the world don't really exist. First off our founding fathers had just succeeded in a major war from THE CHURCH OF ENGALND hence the "Establishment Clause”. Secondly the "Free Exercise Clause" of the 1st amendment only states thee government cannot favor one religion over another. Those are the only 2 parts that cover religion in the 1st Amendment.

  • @ClassicFIHD

Yikes. We got a bad case of tea-bagger diarrhea here, folks. (Oh, and what do you think "the government cannot favor one religion over another" means? Guess you missed "how to think critically" day in 8th grade.)

  • @balticseaamber Then you must be in 2nd grade. The government can spend all the money it deems fit on religion as long as it doesn't favor one over the other. Like I said they spend money all the time on places like Chapels at military bases, the Pentagon and the Whitehouse. They only use the word "church" because they cannot list all the religions. The government CAN SPEND MONEY ON RELIGION (i.e. Church)!

  • No, she is not smarter than a fifth grader! Christine O must have flunked out too many times, and probably never heard of the first ten amendments of the Constitution as our basic Bill of Rights.

From witchcraft dabbler to anti-masturbation crusader, she wants to limit governmental power on one hand, but wants to legislate private behavior. Creepy! So ironic that she is backed by the double-talking Sarah Palin, who has an out-of-wedlock grandchild. Such model citizens with such high principles.

  • Watch the movie, "Idiocracy" if you want to see where this country is headed if we don't fix education.

  • I would LOVE to see her and Meg Whitman lose this year anyone but them will be great!

  • She reminds me a lot of the run-of-the-mill tea party goers who espouse "liberty and freedom" for whom you just feel bad for. Normally this type of ignorance elicits some empathy because you know they're coming from a place with a lot of hate and fear. Now, I kind of see them and regard them as drunkards on a corner, like just a bad example to serve as warning for others.

  • She's a train wreck.

  • @SlappyThePenguin Hate to say so, but trains that run on time and do so with great safety, efficiency, speed and cleanliness don't make headlines.

  • She is such an easy target, I feel sorry for her. I can't lie and say I know every amendment by heart, but i can say if I were to speak infront of law students while running for Senate I would make sure to brush up on simple things like amendments. Oh well, it's entertainment for the rest of us.
