On 09-23-08 Philadelphia Police Officer Patrick McDonald was shot and killed in the line of duty.
While at Temple University Hospital. We watched a NYPD helicopter land on the roof of the hospital. We later found out that Pat's sister lives in NY and they flew her from NY to Philly so she can say goodbye to her brother and be with her family.
From the bottom of my heart I would like to thank you guys. You are truly a class act.

We're lucky we even have police cars let alone bullet proof windows. I was lucky enough to know/work w/Pat . I was there when the NYPD helicopter arrived at Temple Hosp. I too would like to thank those guys. R.I.P. Pat
@Nypdrocks1234 - If a driver runs into an officer (ie. Officer Califano and Officer Baribault) while they are making a routine traffic stop, how does a good samaritian break the window to get them out?
Also, what happens to these glass when the vehicles are put out of service or the vehicle get stolen? Do the glass stay in for bank robbers to buy at auctions to protect themselves in robberies?
Im from england.......And NYPD is truly a High class police force!

@411NewYork Only a moron would steal a law enforcement vehicle, and when they auction off their vehicles they remove all the equipment.
