This song gets RIGHT on my nerves. The lyrics are APPALLING. The song is so dreadfully plain and middle-of-the-road. "Where do you go when sleep has taken over, you lose control".. what rubbish! The sort of lyrics a band of twelve year olds would come up with and think "wow that's SO meaningful". It means NOTHING. I now turn over the station as soon as I hear this dull tripe. I've not hated a song so much in ages. "The Brilliant Things"? That's a bit much. They should be "The Shockingly Shits".

@BentleyGriley Do the lyrics have to mean something can't you just enjoy the music or are you one of those control freaks which has to have everything ordered or has to have a purpose no direspect or anything but maybe you need to really listen to the lyrics. she's saying that no matter what you can always sing or dance and that can make you happy so that even if you have nothing you have the tools for happiness within yourself and she's trying to spread her talent for singing.
