It's definitely a couple film anyways... But I dunno why so many people hated it... I thought it was a grand oul film, certainly watchable anyways... And better than most of the shite of 2011!

@4jjhtc Because of the cursing. I saw this movie just yesterday, and right in the opening scenes of it, Clooney drops the f bomb. And a few more times after that.
@4jjhtc Other than the slight cursing, it still is a great movie. Clooney did an amazing in his role. I'm guessing you might be underaged to see a R-movie, but maybe after it hits On Demand or DVD, I'd see it.

Horrific dialogue! I mean the worst I've heard in ions or ever. The attempts at humor are pathetic and unfunny. Not to mention painting humor into the theme of a dying mom on her death bed was incredibly tasteless. People obviously got sucked in by all the crying and Clooney's extremely emotional scenes. His acting was quite awful but in the emotional scenes he was compelling. I don't remember when I've ever hated a movie this much. I can't believe it could even possibly win any type of award.
Good movie, a little slow at times. Supporting cast is terrific and G. Clooney handles some scenes very well (esp the confrontation with his wife's lover and his angry tiradeat tis comatose wife. Overall, though he isn't a strong enough actor to play an understated part and too often he comes iff as wooden. Shailene Woodely is terrific though both girls blow clooney off the screen.
@amcmurf1 ...I agree with you 1000% There was NOTHING outstanding about this, especially in relationship to the other Oscar contenders. If Clooney wins this I think we can honeslty say the Oscars is totally corrupt and completely political. This was like a drawn out movie of the week. I LOVE Clooney which is why I watched, but ,,,

Horrific dialogue! I mean the worst I've heard in ions or ever. The attempts at humor are pathetic and unfunny. Not to mention painting humor into the theme of a dying mom on her death bed was incredibly tasteless. People obviously got sucked in by all the crying and Clooney's extremely emotional scenes. His acting was quite awful but in the emotional scenes he was compelling. I don't remember when I've ever hated a movie this much. I can't believe it could even possibly win any type of award.

Good movie, a little slow at times. Supporting cast is terrific and G. Clooney handles some scenes very well (esp the confrontation with his wife's lover and his angry tiradeat tis comatose wife. Overall, though he isn't a strong enough actor to play an understated part and too often he comes iff as wooden. Shailene Woodely is terrific though both girls blow clooney off the screen.
