  • Thank you. We enjoy owning it, even though we don't travel much. Thanks for posting.

  • nice rig

  • Thank you!

  • Beautiful motorhome!

  • Thank you Botz. I am looking forward to learning more on how to do this video stuff and appreciate your kind words.

  • I have an '82 Chevy 3500 Crewcab that i converted into an RV. It has a 502 6BBL in it.

  • @corvetteguy1980 That will work too. Happy trails.

  • Awesome vid. Howie you Rock !

  • Thank you. Let the energies of your thoughts provide the desires of your heart. I've wanted one for the last thirty + years. Live on, young horse and you will come to greener pastures. : )

  • you guys are my heroes, i'm 24 and this is my dream home. they don't make em like they used to! thanks for sharing

  • Wife and I did the ceiling. The rest was cared for by pervious owner. Much mechanical work was needed because coach was seldom driven. More 'upgrading' than restoration. Except for ceiling, stearing wheel and stereo, every thing has been left orginal. Thank you for posting and your kind thoughts. Happy trails. ~ Howard ~

  • Nice looking GMC. Did you restore it or buy it in that condition? About seven years ago my wife and I looked at a GMC that had been sitting for a long time but was priced to sell. Neat as it was, the fact that it would first be a restoration project made us decide to keep looking. Ended up with a 1979 31' Airstream trailer. Another cool classic, but one that was ready for camping. Maybe see you on the road sometime.

  • thank you:)

  • thats a beautyfull viechle you got ,very klassy

  • I'd be glad to share my experience installing our ceiling. Contact me at: uziyah@yahoo.com Thanks for your kind thoughts and enjoy your new GMC motorhome. I'd enjoy pictures. ~ Howard ~

  • Thank you! My wife and I, and 9,000 others agree. We appreciate your comments.

  • Must love the style of that GMC Motorhome, It's just gorgeous, all the modern motorhomes are square and tall, just horrible but these, they look just awesome.

  • What a motorhome, you've obviously taken very good care of her. Thanks for sharing.

    All the best.

  • Thank you. My wife and I have enjoyed each others company for over 54 years. You are correct about 'Rocinante'. In Latin it means something like, 'not a plow horse'. Thanks for sharing your kind thoughts.

  • Your folks irradiate what can only be described as the charm of a charming life.

    All the best.

By the way, I believe Rocinante was the horse ridden by Don Quijote, written my Miguel de Cervantes.

    Very romantic name indeed.

  • cool motorhome i like it

  • Thank you! We are pleased you stopped by and left us a message.

  • Really enjoyed your video, thanks.

  • THANK YOU! I love those old front drive GMC's

  • That looks like tho old guy off Christine...

  • Thank you. You probably owned one in a passed life. They are 'unforgetable.'

  • The first time I saw a GMC motorhome I was smitten and the feeling never goes away. Maybe someone who wasn't alive back in the day can't fall in love the way we that were can, all I can say is that it's a true love that lasts!

  • Looks great, love to see people enjoying their GMC's!

  • Thank you all. May need to sell someday, but not now. Would rather have the coach than the money. I had forgotten about Steinbeck and his Rocinante. Thanks for reminding me. 'Rocinante' in Latin means, 'not a plow horse.' Namaste', ... Howard

  • Thanks for the tour of your beautiful motorhome! Rocinante is a great name for it, Steinbeck would be proud. The wooden ceiling is a great personal touch!

  • Beautiful coach! Let me know if you ever want to sell it...I've always loved and wanted one of these.

  • jigsaw1984 doesn't know what he's talking about. These are still one of the best designed motorhomes ever built... FWD is one of the things that made these so great.

They were also quite popular in their day, despite being introduced during the fuel crisis and being very pricey!

    Thanks for the video!

  • I can't understand how a body on frame vehicle of this enormous size is front wheel drive. Yuck. I'll never touch anything fwd regardless of size.

  • I never knew these were front wheel drive. How many miles are on the odometer?

  • your guys remind me of my happily married folks of 47 years your a cute couple!greatings from fountain valley ca!!!!god bless and have fun with the coach!

  • Hi Jeremy, ...thanks for your kind words. Drop me a line sometime when you are in the Kingsport area. Perhaps we can get together to 'chew the fat'.

  • Very nice video and camper! You did a great job on the ceiling! I really like the wallpaper in the kitchen area too. Thanks for making this video!

  • Thank you Joe! We sincerely appreciate your kind words. I could enjoy the old Dodge C Class as well. ~ Howard ~

  • I love these old Motorhomes!

Thanks for posting Sir and enjoy the most fantastic Motorhome ever built.

I can't afford one So I will be getting an old Dodge Sportsman Class C.

I just like the old ones better than the new stuff.

    Joe

  • Very Nice.. I love these Moho's .. I want one , But I don't have enough cash so I guess I will go with an Old Dodge Sportsman Class C .

  • Cool !!

  • That's a 403 Oldsmobile Toronado engine!

January 1977 to end of 1978 GMC Motorhome production powerplant.

    Great video!

    Make some more, Uziyah!

  • Yes, 403 Oldsmobile. Thank you for posting.

  • We replaced the ceiling wallpaper with cedar planking and oak beams, replaced the steering wheel with a custom made one, and updated the 8 track stereo with CD player. Thank you for commenting.

  • Absolutely Beautiful! Your video inspired me to go buy a 1977 Palm Beach and I would also like to redo the ceiling with wood like you have. Could you please tell me how to attached the wood to the ceiling and what thickness wood did you use?

  • Very nice video! Have you made any modifications to your motorhome?
