  • You should look into Americorps if you want to help, but don't want to leave America. They work with habitat for humanity and other organizations. I have met some people in the program and they love it. Thinking of going in myself, but am not sure if I should go to college before or after.

  • @doveomnom I served in AmeriCorps after college, but my roommate and several people served before college. Whatever you decide to do you will find other people in a similar situation as yourself. I wish I had signed up before college looking back because I would have liked some experience in a field before spending all the time and money on college. AmeriCorps has such a variety of programs that you can gain some experience and it can help you decide what you might want to study, My .02.

  • Exactly bananaboo87. Of course she doesn't have all the things we have in more developed countries like USA, she is in Swaziland. Some people are such numbskulls.

  • there are many undeveloped countries that have houses that are better looking then the USA...

and then there are people who live in very poor built houses shak-like and you probably feel sorry for them when you shouldn't, because they live a much happier and simpler life...

You wouldn't know this because i doubt you've traveled or lived elsewhere but the US or North America,

  • Sorry, I wasn't trying to come off as ignorant or a know-it-all if it seemed so. Of course I don't know as much because I am 15 and the only other country I've been to is Mexico. But I do hope to learn more and I do want to join the Peace Corps.

  • That's fine but you should never judge anything or any country in this case, when you've never been there yourself. Piece of advice, since you're so young you should probably seriously think to do some traveling when you get older you would learn a lot from the world. And i would seriously do my homework on the Peace Corps before joining because everything you see on t.v. such as politics and 'protecting your country' is bull when you're fighting on the devil's side

  • My point is you should hear all sides of the story from every country before you go to war...

You're 15 and this is the best time to put you're foot down and question authority, you're old enough to think for yourself instead of being indoctrinated by politicians and media (who work hand in hand). Don't let anyone brainwash you, and read more books. It's for your own good.

  • Form you're opinion on what you truly figuered out is fact, not on what someone tells you is fact cuz then you'll have all your facts wrong.

  • but Europe for example, people are much happier with life and MUUCHH healthier, content in general, population as a whole (in any european country) are much smarter because the school system is different. Europe is only an example. I find North American's who talk as if they know everything about the world only because that's what they see on t.v. are real DUMB (brainwashed by news and their own gov't) if you disagree with me the only way for you to understand and know is to see it for yourself

  • she doesnt need a big house she barely has any stuff and is probably working all the time!

  • wow, isnt it rude how ppl from north america are questioning how ur house is small and everything?? well, ppl, she is in a different country, give her a brake!!!!!!!!!

  • Sanibonani, I lived in Mbabane Swaziland for 2yrs, I miss it dearly; I miss looking out of my office window to see the mountains surrounding Mbabane, The hill of Fountayne were wonderful, the weather was beautiful in spring and fall.

  • no sound?

  • Looks Nice, now I want to visit, sigh.

  • Sawubona! Loved viewing this. I was in S'land as a children's missionary 88-90. I had pcv who often came to my house in Mbabane to enjoy the luxury of running water! :) I'm going to send them a link to this video. Found your vid. while looking for ones related to the HIV/AIDs crisis. Didn't realize til recently that nearly 1/2 the Swazi pop. is infected. I weep to think of those people who I still love facing this kind of devastation.

    Praying for S'land,

    Elysa
