yo i have the same exact amp and i was running it to a alpine type S 12 inch sub and it blew it...its suppose to be a 300 watt amp but a lot of people say it pushes out more than that..is that true?

@jarred3636 the amp is rated at 300 watts so that in a comp you can go in a lower class. my amp tested at 946 watts RMS @ 2ohms. i mean i had this amp on a 15" Kicker L7. i had it turned up just under half way and still blew the speaker. but that was only after having the speaker on the amp for mounths. i just played it up to loud for like 2 hours on my way home from the beach and the voice coil gave out....

@jarred3636 when Rockford Fosgate make the amps they test them all individually. so they all come with a birth sheet and that was what mine tested at from Rockford Fosgate. i think you can get amps tested at CarToys or MobileOne...

well if you go by the power rating i would go with the zx1000. it depends on how hard you are looking to push them. i think the zx1000 would do the speakers Justice. if the amp is to much for the speakers you can always turn it down...

I run a 12" of the generation before yours. Still an L7 though, just running 1600w.

the T3002 is a 900watt RMS amp. i had it under a 1/4 the way up and still blew it. now i have a 2000watt 15" L7, the "new style" in a slot ported box. the amp just over 1/4 the way up and i can tell i could kill this sub if i wanted to.

Yeah, I use a kenwood 3v and have my bass setting -8/8 and subwoofer setting NO higher than -3/15, because if I go any higher than that I can hear it start bottoming out.

YESSS i found it!! i saw this exact deck on ebay for 99 bucks...i tpyed in here to see how it works and you have it........i like that its purple.....does it have controls for the sub?? you like it?

its not really purple it was the lighting/angle. but yes it does have a sub output and front/rear outputs. this has been the best deck i have own so far. it looks great, sounds great, and i have never had any problems with it. the only thing i wish it had was a RCA input. becouse i really wanted to hook my Ipod up to it. so i'm getting a Clarion with the 6 volt outputs and the RCA input for my Ipod. if it had the input for my Ipod i would never get rid of this radio.
