I most certainly don't assume everybody from Japan is like this. I had the opportunity to spend a week in Tokyo, Osaka, and Kyoto in late 2005, and loved it very much. At the same time, I made sure to be very polite and gracious as a guest in their country, trying to speak as much Japanese as possible.

Jingoism in any country is never a good thing. It's just disappointing to see it everyday here in the U.S., and now in Japan.

The other day, many Japanese media have reported that 4 U.S. soldiers raped a 19 years old Japanese girl at Hiroshima in Japan.

But the local police didn't seek an arrest warrant of the soldiers by reason that she has not material evidence etc.

I'm not an expert in the law but is it natural?
