I remember hearing her singing this in the early 70's and being blown away. She's a bit more breathless these days, but she's still the very best singer from Scotland in the folk tradition. Jeannie Robertson and Barbara are the greatest in this tradition with Sandy Denny coming in third position.

This woman is a national treasure! Her range is amazing... and this song really shows off what a superb band she has. Her musical partnership with Troy Donockley has produced the finest music of her career.
