  • Nice

  • Hahaha I love it, now try the on a ZX250RR, not even close. I love the KR1 lads 2 finger (middle finger in the USA) salute to the ZX400 guy when he regains the lead. It's reminiscent of Barry Sheene and Kenny Roberts battle from all those years ago. I'm still smiling. I love the smell of 2 stroke in the morning.

  • nice vid, man; but the track seems a little bit dangerous...

  • cool footage . had a KR1s for quite a few years best fun motorbike ive owned . could fly around corners and the sound of the mighty 2-stroke engine - fastest 250cc production motorbike around

  • nice video... thinking of buying a zxr400 this weekend

  • @Syke1988 haha ! Same for me :) :) hoping it won't turn to a mechanical nightmare tho ...

  • Who the fuck was that cutting through the pack at the end? 5:57 does anyone know what that bike was?

  • @MrJaggedman

Thats Glen English riding a matchless sealey G50 the very same bike he won the World Classic Championship on, the series was only ever ran once so Glen still holds the title, Bike was built to original specs by Fred Walmsley. The bike was a missile and the rider was pretty good too, Witham took the sealey out a session later and was smiling from ear to ear when he arrived in paddock. An engineering master piece.

  • @waddozxr Thanks for the info. Definitely wowed when he passed on the left just after the mountain.

Nice riding from you and the KR1S by the way. Good going!

  • @MrJaggedman Holy shit that guy went through there like a hot knife through butter!

  • I was nearly in tears and biting the keyboard to this video, I've been off my baby now for about 2 years and all but forgotten what its like to ride on the very limit. This with the music brings it back hard. I used to work at Fowlers UK and yes the 6's n 1000's are lovely and undeniably awsum I am climbing the walls until my Cagiva is back together. No seat, no headlight, just an 80kg track bike, diddly 39hp StanStephens engine and the most expensive rubber this side of a Durex factory...

  • kr1s's are timebombs if you dont give them a bit tlc. fully synthetic is the way to go and never ever raz them from cold

  • real nice video!!!

watch my videos: kawasaki ZXR 400 GoProHero Wide test run!!!

  • nice video!!!

watch my videos: kawasaki ZXR 400 GoProHero Wide test run!!!!!!!!

  • have you see the evil with it´s bike? 5`58. it´s a mv 500?¿?¿?¿?¿?¿

  • @tote84

I've seen it's the best rider in this movie I think :p

It's the ghost of mike hailwood????

  • hahaha 2 stroke wins. What the hell was that bike that carved through the pack right at the end.

  • see zxrs can still kick it

  • was that bill swallow on the old single show you how to do hall bends at the end?

  • looked a bit busy at the start

  • always dreamt of getting a KR-1S but got a TZR250 instead - I was more then happy escpecially my m8 on his RGV250 - we used to rip it up everywhere.

  • Great video. Listen to that old zxr 400 sing. Now, I'm no expert, but this video shows you just how much fun a zxr 400 can be. Your lines are great and you get on the power nice and early. The big bikes pull can pull a few bike lengths on the straights, but they have no chance everywhere else. Looked like fun!

  • love it ;P

  • nice track!

  • performance Bikes road tested a standard KR at 139mph. i had one til i siezed a piston. was way too much fan. prefered that to the rvf i had.

  • Very funny the hello ^_^ ! at 5:03

  • chimp664, what hairpin at cadwell would that be then that you can get wrong at 135mph??? i think the nearest point on the circuit to the hairpin that you can reach that speed is about 1.3mile away!! and im sure you didnt reach 135 on a 400, def not a cbr. zxr's are way better and quicker than a cbr 400. a cbr400 will do about 125mph. kr can do well over 130mph (63hp) in race trim with tall gearing. zxr's (rmkd's) well over 140mph with about 80hp. oh., what was your best lap time??

  • ive never been to cadwell i never said that

  • zxr400 are great , quick, great round the bends and most of all good value for money .. but a bit tank slap happy ! =)

  • thanks for the great vid mate. it brought back good memories of me racing my KR1S against my Brothers CBR 6. He could get away from me on the straight bits of road, but on the twisty bits i could out turn him, out brake him and out perform him...lol I own a ZX6R now but i miss the noise of a KR1S exhaust in the power band.

  • thanks glad you enjoyed video. Camera setup was normal camcorder mounted on tank bracket. Hopefully will be back out at Cadwell later in the year. Check out hc racetec on google for zxr ram air boxes and fairings (based in uk but posts worldwide).

  • dude on the twin must have bollocks the size of melons, respect.

  • crap that ol twinner was killing them!

  • any one see the old v-twin gunning it at the end of the vid? what bike was it and who was riding it biaggi? lol

  • The old twin was fantastic. Nice ride by all, though. You have to respect the old two strokes, too,....don't you.

  • mmmm could have used Motorcycle Man by Saxon lol would have been real hip xxx love Pardoe xxxxxxxxxx

  • Good vid' shaaaame bout the crap music tho lol xxx love Pardoe xxxx :-) xxxxxxxxxxxx

  • Cool vid. My old m8 actually had a KR1s and his Mrs had a ZXR400. He took out the ZXR and let me on the KR1s and after warming it up (carefully!) I gunned him easily on the country roads in my area (I live 20 miles from Cadwell). KR1 had LOOOOADs more power as long as it was kept singing in the powerband. Of course my arse was in pain after 1 hr while my m8 was fresh as a daisy :)

  • well i have a cbr 400rr inported to new york where i live. and my brothers has a kr1s ive raced him loads off times the kr1 is quick but when it comes to top end i rape him lol

  • Isn't there a law against that LOL. Well I believe you mate cos CBR400s are a site faster than ZXR400s IMO

  • Great video. have to get out there

  • nothing like a good old 2stroke

  • i raced on this track in england. i came off my cbr 400rr at 135mph i was comeing in to a hairpin lol

  • ur full of shit

  • if you say so dick head

  • What is completely INSANE is at the end of this clip at 5:57 you can see a guy on an old 50's 60's bike run through these guys like exlax! He is knifing through them on 50 year old technology!!!!!!!!!!

  • OOPS!

Sorry for coming in on the tail end guys. Now I see the earlier posts about Glen English on a 1962 Matchless G50

  • aaaah that lunatic on the well old 4t done the fuckin lotta them at the end, what a legend. laughin my ass off

  • too much traffic...like riding on the road

  • Good style. See you at caddy this year.

  • cool vid, been to cadwell many times.cool track and riding.wot date was it

  • What track is this?

Looks to be somewhere in Europe, maybe?

Love the elevation changes, blind turns and rises...GREAT track, GREAT character!!!

  • Cadwell Park, Lincolnshire, England and your not wrong possibly one if not the best track in the UK

  • NICE!!!

    Thanks!

  • @waddozxr i live really close to it

  • That was no Ducati. Thats Glen English on a 1962 Matchless G50 - Certainly showed them the way through Hall bends!!

  • this gave me a boner

  • both very good riders on equally matched bikes, loved wtching the vid

  • yessssss where the fuck did he come from

  • plz comment bacck i reali need to no whta thiis soundtracks called many fannks (Y)

  • It's Sandstorm by Finnish guy Darude.

  • wats the soundtrack called m8 ?

  • great vid i had a kr1 great little screamer, luved the fast lad at the end on a duc ?

    cheers

    steve in sunny almeria spain

  • Zed heads, this is just great fun to watch, music reminds me of one of the gcXG3 soundtracks, boy I dig that game, the zx is hardly ever under 9krpm those rings must be burning, I've done some track on my zixer '02 but never as busy as that, the zx must be easier to maintain than the KR, I wonder what engine breaking is like on the stroker, sure need lots of brake on the 4strokes, sold my rd many years back once rode it from Bordeaux to Birmingham and back, sure had the vibes ;) GREAT VID !!

  • I would have liked to have seen more of the guy at the end. I dont know if it was a ducati or what ? but he sure showed everyone how to corner. There is a lot more available from your machines but its having the confidence and skill and trust in the machine.

  • yeah just noticed he was quick.looked a bit dangerous.a bit like rossi lol maybe it was

  • Great vid & great riding. 250 2 strokes vs 400s are always a good matchup, but I'm surprised the ZXR was so much quicker on the straight.

  • maybe the kr1s is not tuned very well or the zxr is very well tuned.does any one know how competitive a kr1s would bare in club level.and is it formular 400 that it would run in as i have just purchased 1 thanks for any replys

  • great riding but why the fuck do people ruin it by adding shitty soundtracks?

I would rather just hear a 400 getting the tits revved off it.

  • that geez at the ends a beast. cant beleive thats an old v twin. thought 125 for sure. thats how a decent rider does it.

  • be fair, some decent riding there fella!

  • id love to give you a go on branshach. on my cbr400rr full powerd lol.

  • Haha! Nice to see those skinny wheels doing what they were built for. Going up the inside!

  • Laughed my cock off at that banzai overtake! WTF was that? No idea what pwn is though..

  • good rider, nice n quick, i should know a bit i was twice irish super sport 400 champion.

  • lol.. did ya see speedy gonzales at the end? he pwned everything on his 125 cc :D

  • you're right! speedy gonzalez..jajajaa!

  • haha e waz quick but dat waz a classic ducati 350 duno if u herd it but all of a sudden there waz a v-twin in da back ground n he appeared still look at da bikes e waz beatin

  • haha e waz quick but dat waz a classic ducati 350 duno if u herd it but all of a sudden there waz a v-twin in da back ground n he appeared still look at da bikes e waz beatin

  • Nice riding skills!

  • EXCELENTE.............

  • 2nd time ive come back just to watch that chap at the end. it's just striking how quickly he turns at the end after watching all the other riders the whole movie.

  • i had a race on this track once on my ninja 400 i went to fast round a fucking bend and lost it my m8 on his gsxr 400 came of on the first lap lmoa!!!!!!!!!!

  • looks fun

  • That video is realy, realy, funny !

In French : "quel pied !"

    Serge, from France.

  • Not sure if it's been covered but who's the nutcase at the end who pwns you all? lol awesome vid though!!

  • can u post the rest of the race plz ?

  • blip the throttle on the downshifts man

  • track days are so cool

  • Decent vid dude, loose the music on future ones it spoils the bike action, IMHO..

  • awesome vid

  • looked like a good day out, i will have to have a go at racing there, i race a rvf400. the old classic at the end of the vid sure was flyin!

  • it has been so long from hearing finnish techno...

  • wikkid. I want to do that too :(

  • Really liked the footage...always more exciting to watch when the track is fairly packed with riders. Trust this was the fast group?

  • Was this a track day or a race meet?Just there were some questionable overtakes if it was a trackday,(especially him that passed dropping down from Gooseneck (NC23?)) - great vid though, nice to see a Kr1 out and about rather than in bits in a garage ;)

  • It was a track day (james whitham speedfreaks), the guy on the 23 was another mate that we ride with a lot and are use to those questionable overtakes!

  • excellent riding, by you and the guy on the kr1s!! what lap times were you doing? looked pretty quick to me!!

  • Cheers, I'm on the KR1S and to be honest lap times are a bit steady at 2 minutes - first outing on standard road settings.

  • Great video nice riding on the kr1s!! i used to dream about tht bike as a boy lol now i ride an sp1 ;)

  • Scarey this dude's late on the brakes.

  • Strepitoso!!

  • look the finger at 5:04 xD.

  • Great vid. certainly taking no prisoners. Bit heavy on the rear brake a few times which is why the camera shakes, rear wheel chatters. Little KR1-s is amazing.

  • 10 out of 10,FANTASTIC VID!!

  • you boys were taking names

  • I don't ride yet so forgive me if its a silly question but don't bike riders 'blip' the throttle on the downchange under braking the same way a car driver would? (heel & toe). Thanks :)

  • Normally yes but to be fair camera bike is not been ridden at full tilt, Jon (camera bike)has done 1m43 laps of Cadwell on the same bike when racing lapping on vid at 2m a lap!

  • Thanks, just had a curiosity thats all. Wasn't knocking the rider. Nice video :)

  • Awsome riding...great video!

  • nice !

p.s. can someone tell me whitch is that song ?

  • darude - sandstorm

  • 5:59 Now thats riding! Makes you say who the hell was that, as he disapears into the sunset... NICE ;)

  • Fair play the fella on the classic the 7r by the looks of it showed you boys the way. Went past like a knife through butter. His bike is from the 60s and has about 40 bhp.

  • the classic was a reproduction of the g50 matchless/seeley built by fred walmsley built for the previous season and as posted previously was ridden by Glen English who as a professional rider and world champion at time of video you'd expect nothing less

  • Brilliant video. Brings back some memories! Why don't they make 400's anymore? I'd buy one!

  • you all got pwned by that classic!

  • haha 5:04, the finger!

  • no its called children of the sandstorm, its an odd mix of robert miles -children and darude- sandstorm, some people like wrecking classics :P. excellent video great riding, that 250 is well quick mid range jeez lol

  • superB dewd! nice job.

  • damn..this vid made me want to ride my bike out

  • Was he riding a NC23?

  • Who? the guy right at the end is on an nc23, camera is on a zxr400 and I'm in front on a kr1s.

  • good stuff A1 racing i can only hope I can get my kr1s on a track andput it through its paces

  • the music is by darude and called sandstorm

  • just realised theres more tracks than just this, i was referring to the first one. not so sure on others sorry

  • Wow great vid!! whats the music as ive heard it but cant remember whats it called :( and its bugging me now lol.

  • wow nice vid! Some good racing going on there

  • The guy who came screaming past at the very end had some serious talent!

  • He was Glen English and was current world classic champion, Glen was riding a seeley matchless g50 which he won the title on. Awesome bit of kit.

  • What's he doing in the Inters then?

  • He was going out in both inters and fast.
