  • Now that is hunting!

  • No ducks or geese were harmed during the making of this video.

  • respect for You guys! its not easy :)

  • hahaha im 15 and i just got my first bow, a 1953 bear recurve, can't wait till my buddy gets one so we can go out and give this a try! The ACDC was a great touch haha

  • Is this during or after the season? because theres alot of birds!

  • i prefer a gun im just saying

  • hahaha doesnt look like they got one bird but almost killed each other and lost a ton of arrows but had the best time of their lives :'D

  • Entertaining, but one of the worst ideas I've seen in a while...

  • This video is awesome!!! looks funn!!

  • "No geese were harmed in the making of this video." Sorry i couldn't help myself. I usually try one archery waterfowl hunt a year so i know it's all about the fun and not limiting out. Keep at it over the past four years I bagged anout 5 birds with my bow. Lots of fun GL in the future

  • Great vid guys!

Looks like a ton of fun.

Get any birds that day, or just a good old time?

    Peace.

  • Great video. I've fletched a couple flu flu arrows for goose hunting this year as well. Looks like I may need to do some more.

  • i enjoyed this video so much, best bowhunting vid on youtube i think. your groans everytime you missed one were priceless. 4:20 i could not stop laughing, letting off your arrows at the same time and then groaning at the same time XD how many arrows did you lose that day?

  • @aaronrushton1, Glad you enjoyed the vid! Didn't lose any arrows...intentionally. We were prepared to though. I made my flu flu's from old aluminum shafts I had laying around, and used old broadheads that weren't good for anything else.

  • How often do bows need to get repaired(re-strung, etc)? Are they cheaper than firearms?

  • This looks like so much fun. I may try this this year!

    -Trent

  • If you keep shooting your arrows above your heads, then the arrows wont stop coming in you

  • seriously shotgun and calls would do yall so much better.

  • Great job Zac... Miss seein you around.. Hope all is Great with you.. Cheers from Chadron

  • All in all, how many arrows did you guys lose? BTW: Awsome video :D

  • @bvillmek79

Glad you guys are liking the video. We lost one arrow, but were prepared to lose more. fletched up old aluminums so didn't care if we lost them.

  • This is totally awesome...lol I dont know about shooting STRAIGHT UP though...gotta trust your buddy with your life that day...but awesome video...I would love to try it....THANKS THIS IS THE BEST KIND OF HUNTING....YOU AND THE ANIMAL HAVE ABOUT THE SAME CHANCE....

  • @B1u3Dr4g0n1 I dont know about that...

  • In general certainly good fellows. Green Peace unequivocally.

  • now that's bow hunting!..I'd love to spend a day like this sending up arrow after arrow .. you guys deserved a fat goose falling from the sky that day.. but I guess it needs a lot of luck shooting them flying so fast. could you get a one also with an arrow that's already falling down? very entertaining video! congrats

  • What fun. $200 worth of arrows later. Next time try a 22. You still won't hit anything but at least you won't have to drive each other to the hospital with arrows sticking out of your heads. Very entertaining.

  • this.......... is........... awesome!!!!!!!

  • lol fail

  • it sounds like their laughing at ur aim. lol

  • where are you at !!!!!!!

  • Instead of wanting a shotgun I think I would have wanted a hardhat and shoulder pads just in case...know what I mean?

  • @Copperswilly lol

  • @Copperswilly ...Your video was awesome and fun to watch... I actually watched it a few times...ha ha...did you guys ever hit any?

  • wish you had a shotgun huh???

  • how much where those arrows? i just bought a hoyt compound bow would they work with that? amazing vid did u hit any thing??

    amazing simply amazing ;)

  • I guess you guys picked the wrong type of weaterconditions for goose hunt. It should be cloudy and rainy ;) They might fly lower to the ground...

  • Why not wait untill the geese land. You are using broadheads. That's really dangerous. Flat points will work and are safer. Snare tips are the best choice. You might of bagged a limit with snare tips. Try them next time.

  • My respect boys, instead of you I would get crazy to see so many birds and couldn't get any of them:)) You just had a good time and that is more important!!!

  • damn looks loke a lot of fun!

Greetings

  • dang guys now thats the way to hunt lots more fun and if you actually hit a bird it is a big thing. good to see this type of hunting still exist. oh have you ever tried the sprial flu-flu's.

  • Comment removed

  • That looks like a kick!

  • now were did u get those arrows did you guys make them yourslef

  • did you ever hit one

  • haha, why the hell shooting the in the air than using dummies to get them on ground???

  • if you hit one you need to mount it with the arrow still in it. That would be one hell of a story

  • hitting a deer will be much easier after this haha looks like a lot of fun

  • if you only have had a shotgun... :D

have you found your arrows?? Flu-flu cannot get more than 100 m..

  • huntermartaindale made this comment:

This is seriously one of the most awesome hunting videos of all time. I bet it's more fun shooting all day and missing than hitting a single goose with a shotgun.

  • @ZevenART

I agree. I rarely post, but this video is f#$king awesome. I wish I had been there.

  • @ZevenART

I agree. I rarely post, but this video is so awesome. I wish I had been there.

  • @ZevenART

your right it was THE best VIDEO not hunting video but the best VIDEO ive eversaw

  • @ZevenART wot the heck u can never hit a flyin bird with an arrow lols....

  • @ZevenART yeah, I think it's like the fishing bumper stickers say, "the worst day of fishing is better than the best day at work".

  • Thanks man.

  • hello I know this vid may be old but I just have to ask if you are willing to answer, just wonder how hard it was to retrieve the arrows if at all. also was wondering Ive seen a lot of vid useing flu flu and thought about getting some set up myself and was wondering also if 3 would work instead of 4 just for curiosity ive never seen a 3 feather set up and was just wanting to know if any of you guys tried it with 3 instead of 4. thanks for the vid it was great

  • It was very easy to retrieve arrows. They usually came down in the sandy river bottom. We never lost a single arrow. There are many ways to rig flu flu arrows. It all depends on how far/high you want them to fly. Three feathers would work fine, they'd just go a little further than four. The amount of helical (curve) your fletching will also make a difference.BTW, I used old bent aluminum shafts I had laying around and made my flu flues out of them. That way I'm not out anything if I do lose one.

  • thats what huntin is about, just having a good time

  • You know, You guys were close on alot of shots. IF you keep at it you will start connecting

  • Well done guys! You didn't catch any birds, but you had a lot of fun! :-)

You know....exist a special arrow point for the bird, something like a quatrefoil metal string point,it should be easyer to catch something

  • How do you retrieve the arrows ?

  • was that by feath lake in minnesota?

  • You guys are skilled using a recurve.

  • how many arrows did you lose that day? lol

  • Great video, better luck next time :)

  • That was great...Longbows forever !!!

  • are you guys in colorado?

  • Great video, I really enjoyed it

  • lol how many did you get in total ;P .

  • Enjoyed the video- ZevenART you are not crazy- I would rather be hunting and come home with nothing than hunt with firearms or even a compound.

  • HAHAHA 6:05 was the most epic.

  • awsome video, it was really epic when the flocks started to fly over you. i really like how you use a bow. i think it's just cheating if you use a shotgun. you should just kill what your going to eat or use. thanks for hunting the good old way.

  • lol great vid what bows were u useing and a little advice decoys and calls will go along way for u they will come in closer and ur more likely to shoot one

  • My bow is a Saxon American. Decoys and calls did nothing here, because they had just gotten up and were focused on going out to feed ;)

  • agreed theyre is no stoping Snows when they are going to feed Canads its a lil diff

  • @ZevenART then you should have sat in a field where they feed with calls and decoys?

  • share the point use a shotgun and steel shot

  • Fun video, look forward to more from you!

  • Thanks for sharing this. Very good film and made me laugh! And your comment about doing this all the day without getting a bird instead of limiting out with shotgan...That tells me lot about you thoughts and that gives you 5/5. I am fan of traditional archery! Greetings.

  • thats awsome man

  • love the vid but i would rather stick with a shotgun

  • i know i commented before but i just gotta say it... shoot amongst them ha ha that would have been grea if you guys got some but it still looks like fun to me... i really wanna try it

  • It may sound crazy, but I would rather do this all day and not kill a single bird than limit out ten times using a shot gun. We had that much fun. We were extremely close to bringing down birds, and had birds rolling and dodging arrows. It's very achievable. Just a matter of time ;) Glad you guys are enjoying the video.

  • awesome video... i wanna try that now

  • great footage..... you guys really had some fun.....

  • Where was that??

  • This is by far my favorite video! With a little practice I'm sure you two could bag your limit! You should definately try again! Awesome!!

  • Wow!!! Now that is awesome. Those shots are soooooo close. I wonder if those birds could see that arrow comin'??

    Good luck next time, boys..........
