I listened to him in Perth in 2009 (that's prior to the election)- it seemed to me that he was too much inclined to the world of politics (or activist movements- to me they appear to be the same)- that approach did not suit him at that time (i remeber to leave his concert earlier being bored of hearing political tones of his lectures). Going by the developments so far I still feel that the world of an artist and a politician are way apart- they should not be mingled at all.
You should listen his some other Rabindra Sangeet. All of them are not available on YouTube. Sumon is a very blessed and talented singer - No doubt.

He would have well sticking to music.
He's got such a wonderful voice, rendering particularly Rabindrasangeet, that does not match the dirt he got into by joining politics.
This song delivers a certain amount of sacred warmth, that does not match with the words he used to describe opposition on the campaign.
Imagine this voice abusing someone...
