  • Very nice job though you could do better with a camera that's more clear.

  • The first ore dock you showed actually doesn't operate anymore, but the second one still does and it's on Presque Isle, and if you didn't go on Presque Isle, it's an absolutely beautiful park

  • DelfT...

    Old bank = offices now.

There is no "R" in Thill's

    speed on lakeshore much?

wild house = you should see the inside

    condo development =yuppie eyesore

  • Thanks for this upload....I grew up in Marquette in the 40s and 50s, and still get back almost every summer for a visit. The city has spread out since I grew up, especially west. I love going out to the Island and the ore dock. I had an uncle who worked many years on that dock. I never get tired of seeing great pix of Marquette.....keep up the good work!

  • Yes, you will be very suprised on how much we have expanded, we now have Lowes. Marquette has also been titled Best City to Live In quite a few years, and also titled a Cool City a couple times. By the way, the Superior Dome is one of the largest wooden domes in the world.

  • That ore dock was an old one, it is no longer used today. The one on Presque Isle is still in use.

  • Forget beefaroo you need to go to TOGO's!

  • the funyy thing is if u visit there in a couple years you will notice that the city as expanded it always does

  • Alot of catholics lol St.peters cathedral u must have seen it

  • my hometown, great vid

  • Nice video. Next time in town stop at the Huron Bakery that you passed in the beginning of the video (across from Beef-A-Roo).

  • Did you just compare marquette to a city in wisc? Really? Sad..

And thats the old ore dock, not in use any more. The one with the ship at it is the one they use

  • Yeah, lots of Catholics... and the Beef-A-Roo is actually pretty good.

  • Very cool. Thanks for posting. I lived in Marquette for 10 years and now live in Chicago. It was interesting to hear your comments as someone seeing the city for the first time.

  • It is an ore dock, for loading iron ore from trains into freighters.
