Is there any real point to scrapping with the Bouncer? Occasionally he drops stuff, but I can never pick it up...

Unless his only purpose is for training, since I scrap with him often to perfect my combo's.

Technically, he's supposed to be a punishment mechanism - in Godhand, you usually never want to lose more health than necessary (i.e. never) because that would decrease your chances of clearing the stage with no deaths and more gold, and the bouncer provides and unwanted opportunity for Gene to lose more health.

That's how I see it. Training is good, too, but there's the wooden dummy for that.

Why do people say things like 'cheap tactics' and such? Personally, I think it's completely fair of the game designers to give a player the abilty to counter and defeat a CPU controlled character...how many games have you run into where the computer spammed cheap moves, but you didn't have ANYTHING to fight back with?

It's the old skool mentality they are not used to. I see it the same way; when you come across a boss you find a routine that works - simple as that.

I find nothing wrong with this. I dont use YMK, but still. I use somewhat same stragety on strong enemies, eg. Tiger Joe. There is nothing wrong with your style, Saur. I find it better to have a good evasive and strong tactic, instead of an agressive which the enemy may dodge or block too much. Gj kicking that guards ass :)

That could be true, but when it comes to determining how 'good' you are at Godhand, wouldn't a KMS-type deal lend more to something safer like YMK-CY spam?

But, I mean, that's just one aspect. I play God Hand and pin foes with the HSK cancel just to have fun sometimes, and from your videos, I've seen that your play style is both skillful and impetuous, rarely incorporating 'cheap tactics'.

Thanks a lot - but I'd be the first to admit that I play quite "robotically". I do this on all games; I find a skillset I'm happy with then get stuck in a rut, I rarely think outside the little box I've created.

bouncers are the toughest big guys...difference is most big guys are fat xcept wreslter who 35% muscle...this guy got A HOLY HELL OF A LOT OF LIFE and his attacks do an ass amount of damage...like you woulden believe

Can anyone here tell me how to do the move where gene just touches the demon with his finger and they disintegrate? much apreciated

It's called the Poke of God. You only get that move if you're fighting a demon and he's dizzy with all of 2 HP left.

I recommend wailing as usual until he's almost dead, then use the Chain Yanker or Ball Buster, since those moves always stun and never kill. POKE! He's dead. :]

Trust me man - just keep playing the 1st area until you find your feet on Die. I was exactly the same whenever Die kicked in, the fear would really get to me and even a single enemy would pwn the hell out of me.

Now the game feels WEIRD if it's not in Die! It's all about learning the little cues the enemies give as to what they are going to do next.

Jesus Christ man good luck on that, I barely beat the game today, and it kicked ass, now I'm doing a no continue play which is annoying cause I keep forcing myself to use grovel on DIE mode =(, I'm too scared =p.

I'm still on stage 6 - I barely get any time to play. I badly need to finish off Normal so I can get started on this game properly on Hard! I need to get the frying pan tecnnique going, it comes into it's own on Hard Mode.
