I'm pretty sure I know most of you guys commenting about James and Marcello. I have trained pretty extensively with both of them and they are both extremely good and both are blackum beltums. Thats right kids, the highest degree of black belt. They are both the best BJJ teachers i've ever had. I wish they would kiss and make up. LOL. doubt it.

Are you saying that thy eare the same level of Black Belt? Seriously? And you know both of them? Then you know that is not true. Is Jim registered in Rio De Janeiro at the BJJ Federation as a 3rd Degree as Marcello is? Ask pro fighters (actualt pros, not wanna be's) who is better. I don't know, like Big and Little Nog who have trained with Marcello. This is all null and void because every "legit" BJJ black belt I have met in the area makes it clear who is better, so I trust them.

Marcello is a blakcbelt under De La Riva and a world champion I have no idea why people would question his abilities.

I've trained with both Marcello and De La Riva at the same time, as Marcello frequently had De la riva come to the academy. Marcello is an excellent instructor.

be from the area james tells people all the time that marcello is not a real blacke belt, that he hides behind an accent and a name, etc. james could never beat marcello, that's complete bs.

What I find interesting is how nobody specific is 'cutdown' in James' vids or introduction, yet you guys and this vid seek to defame him and post age old vid of a rolling session between a purple belt and a black belt.

I am not a member of either of these guys' team, but I find these particular comments and this particular video LAME!

Marcello has had some successful competitors (Vanessa Smith). James has some super studs too. Who is the better coach... let the tournaments tell. -Tim Sledd

I find it amazing how somebody has to cut down others in order to make his business "seem more professional and seem more successful." I thought Jame's little intro to his page was unprofessional and made him look like a poor martial artist. I guess that is why Marcello is so successful. He isnt busy tying his time up ripping on others to make himself look better
