I cannot think of a more romantic song than this! Out in the forest with the one you love dancing to the campfire waltz=) What a wonder feeling that is, Thank you Dave Stamey!!!
@elkboy2 yes, Dave has a beautiful way with words. When I first heard this song, I could just see all the places I had been in the west (as in my photos in the video) & could imagine dancing on that "pine needle floor."
Beautiful, peaceful song. One time on a cold rainy night, I turned the lights down low, put this song on the stereo, and danced with my lady in the living room. We imagined we were out by a campfire under the night sky. Very romantic. Try it sometime. Your lady will fall in love with you all over again....
I had the good fortune to meet Dave and his wife at a concert in Mesa, Arizona in January, 2010. Whenever I share Dave's songs with people, they go, "Wow, how come I never heard of this guy?". I have a feeling Dave likes it that way. His followers are those who truly appreciate western music. This song has been added to my repertoire..
Beautiful video, bravo! I can see this song becoming the next favorite wedding song, just like John Denver's Annie's Song. I feel so fortunate to have found Dave's music. He's a songsmith and a fantastic performer. I look forward to joining him and his wife on their pack trip to Bodie next year!
Thanks for the comments about the video. Wish I could go on a pack trip; sounds like fun, but I'm afraid I like my comfort too much. I got to visit briefly with Dave at the Western Music Association in Albuquerque last weekend. Great guy!
Thanks for your nice comments about the photos. I was hoping to see Dave when he was in Winfield, Kansas, for the Walnut Valley Bluegrass Festival, but just couldn't arrange the schedule.
Thanks for the comments on the photos. Yes, I love Dave's songs, and this one in particular. We met Dave a couple of years ago and so enjoy his music. If and when he gets to our part of the country for a show, we'll make every effort to see him. He's a cool guy---cowboy!
Howdy, I am so glad dave has such a nice bunch of people following him. We have gone out to visit and saw a few shows in cal We live in casper wy and went up to encampment to see him. Patti
You have a gift with your photography and a gift for understanding the music. Cudos, my friend.
