the reason for maynard not giving the full explanation in his song is because he doesn't want to expose everything about him to critical society. that's why there are lot of hidden things in his songs. those who understand something from their hurts will get the lyrics those who are just intelligent and nothing more hopefully not
stupid retarded arguments? xD...cause everyone is stupid except of you, cause there is only ONE meaning to the song! and you know what is that meaning! or maybe cause you are ignorant fuck that doesn't know what's the essence of every art! an impression that is unique for everyone who spectates. your's, mine anyone else's impression! so don't teach me what should i think, cause it's stupid! you probably tend to be (or just to present yourself to others as) intelligent and nothing more. right? :D
@everyoneSalegend i think I heard Maynard say once in an interview that he wants to leave them open to interpretation. I personally think he wants to keep it subjective because that's how life is, but that last bit's just my opinion.
Nice!! Thanks for posting that, love that vid..... hey check out my channel for Living Syndication, if you like these guys, you'd definitely like LS... Similar to APC, Seether, etc..
Cold, it's like this...Tom introduced his friend from Chicago (Adam) to Maynard. If that's not "playing a big part in the beginnings of Tool", then I don't know what is. I don't know of anyone that has said he played a major role in their inital success. However, the fact that RATM allowed TOOL to open for them as they were starting out did play a role in TOOL developing a following to begin with.
this singer is sooo good, no matter who he sings with. Man he destroyed Tori Amos when she invited him, he is the best. So varied styles and registers. (sorry for my english). He is the best!
Destroyed tori amos? Do you realize what a patently absurd and ignorant comment that is? I don't think her destruction was his intention, but more a male/female, yin/yang balance. Why the hell would you compare male to female? They are meant to balance one another in harmony. Not compete.
Please explain how Tom Morello played a big part in the beginnings of The Mars Volta, or even Tool? Just because RATM and Tool worked together and Adam Jones and Morello were friends does not mean the he played a major role in Tool's initial success.

BTW, lets not forget Tom Morello who was a big part in the begginings of Tool and Mars Volta (At the drive in). That guy contributed a lot.
