@maka666 its to ease weight off the structure to prevent the roof from collapsing

if i remember correctly a couple years back france had a massive snow storm and one of the terminal roof collapsed because of the weight of the snow

it has rollers so you're removing all the snow but about a 1/2 - 1in where the wheels roll on each side of the bottom cutting edge
