  • Forgot to add Dusty Springfield's cover.

  • Heard this on a local radio station driving through Salisbury, Maryland years ago. Stopped me in my tracks. I went to the nearest music store which surprise of surprises they had it. Tore the plastic off that CD and almost wore a hole in it. This is great song from Carol King (the woman can write music) done by everybody, but this one is the best. Cher's and Aretha's are pretty good also.

  • OOOO YEA, IT WAS MY SWEET BABY !!!...:(

  • The best version, not long enough.

  • Beautiful girl. Beautiful version. Growing up back then is an experience I will never forget but sadly never relive.

  • There are too many of us that grew up in those days and that will always remember her music. There is no greater honor than this!

  • My heart thob in the 70's... what a voice!

  • So talented and so cute. Love her voice.

  • This album/CD was one of her best, it was over looked by the general public and was not promoted at all. I have the CD, and it is in my opinion a classic.

  • I HAVE ALSO BEEN LOOKING FOR THE MARY CLAYTON VERSION. THE FIRST TIME I EVER HEARD THIS SONG WAS ON HER ALBUM AND I LOVED IT

  • thx to @209esperanza for this share :-)

  • I've Been Looking For The Version By Merry Clayton !!!

  • Linda had one of the most angelic but yet powerful voices ever ... I rate Martina McBride about as close toher out of the contemporary singers ... what a great song from Carole King and Gerry Gofin ... by the way ... Linda was hot too ! Thanks for posting ... and thanks to Linda for all her great work ...

  • Great version of this Carol King song. Linda is one of the best at covers of the great songs.

  • Ms. Ronstadt is unjustly overlooked and is most definitely overdue to be honored for a lifetime of outstanding work, singing in just about any vein of music she chooses to! truly an underrated talent, thank you for this! I actually have the vinyl version of this album!

  • Love Linda's version of this song! Can't find it on iTunes or Amazon.

  • This is a gem written by Carole King and Gerry Goffin. Originally recorded by Maxine Brown in 1964, Linda's version is very faithful to the original and equally shines.

  • I love how she sings "toys" at 1:28.

  • @dav1237 OH YEAH......TOYS!!!!!!!!

  • You are 100% correct jatroup12. I'm glad somebody else feels this way.....

  • This entire 'album' is an overlooked gem in Linda Ronstadt's incredible career. Great tracks and a very moving performance by her on each one.

  • Love this song! I do hear it on the radio quite often! The album is awesome too!

  • Wow, this is great. An overlooked gem.
