Well, in the absence of a banana, it isn't really a "Japanese version of a banana split", LOL! It's more like a Japanese version of Neapolitan. The one on the right (depending on your monitor settings, may appear either orangey or yellowish or ogangish or yellowey) is mango; but mango shouldn't EVER taste like an orange, no matter what!

And Ube is, well it's like a purple sweet potato. And much like a sweet potato, it by itself is not really "sweet" (unless you add a sweetener like cinnamon in sweet potato pie) and has its own distinct flavor. It is commonly used in certain Filipino desserts. It may sound weird or even gross to some ppl, but I'm Filipino I so I really like ube, especially ube ice cream! Sorry, I should've explained that before.
P.S. Don't even get me started on the corn and cheese flavored ice creams...
