One of the guitarists cut cutting out for at least half the set, some of their songs sounded off, and the idiots on the mix had them so loud the sound just keep crapping out and crackling. The only bands you can compare DEP to are other mathcore bands like Protest The Hero but even then they both still sound very different as all bands have their unique sounds, sure they do the occasional acoustic, slow, heavy as shit song, but thats music you need variety, if bands kept the same sound they would all turn out like a bunch of Nicklebacks and i'm sure no-one wants that.

I used to hate this band even when i was into black metal and i liked teh broootal shit, but i was just like, "THIS SHIT SUCKS ITS JUST NOISE!!" but once you get into it you can really appreciate it. Meshuggah's was the same way for me. it took me a while to really understand what was going, ive been listening to Rush and progessive bands for so long i cant notice when songs are using Polymeters and polyrhythms so meshuggah just seemed kind of boring to me for a few listens.

i would guess people compare the dep and a7x because greg's singing voice has a similar timbre to the other singer's voice(especially in this song), but that's really it. Dillinger is way different, much heavier and has a lot more going on. i don't listen to a7x cause it sounds "poppy" to my ears, although dillinger has popular elements in their style, they still always bring it back to that nasty DEP sound. which is why they rule

It is a shame that Pennie left the band but he is in an awesome band called Coheed and Cambria now. He is one of the greatest drummers of all time and should be recognized for it!
All I'm saying is... talk to the average big A7x fan, and they will NOT accept anything other than "THEY ARE THE BEST BAND EVER!!!!!" A7X is not bad by any means. @bearblaster420 and i only really meant that mathcore/metalcore were subgenres of metal, not necessarily all out metal. anyway, i was just mentioning those bands because the were earlier metal bands, not some of the new shit that's out, 'cause some of the new stuff that's out kinda sucks. however i do listen to a good bit of slipknot, and i'm diggin five finger death punch too... but other than that, i don't think there's really any TRUE metal bands anymore, it's mostly metalcore now

TBH, I don't really see much metal in either band (not saying that it's a bad thing).
Most people hate on A7x not because they don't like them, but because they make pretty generic radio friendly music. They actually hate the fans (the one's who act like A7x is the best 'metal' band or something) more than the band itself.

@AbandonedRustedMetal i'm actually not sure lol. and yeah, a7x was more metalcore in their early days, but now their considered more hard rock. their 3rd album was the first album they didn't scream on, and it was still pretty heavy actually. but their newer stuff isn't quite as heavy, so it's more hard rock. and i can understand that lol, a lot of the fans are pricks....i try not to be like that though lol

I used to hate this band even when i was into black metal and i liked teh broootal shit, but i was just like, "THIS SHIT SUCKS ITS JUST NOISE!!" but once you get into it you can really appreciate it. Meshuggah's was the same way for me. it took me a while to really understand what was going, ive been listening to Rush and progessive bands for so long i cant notice when songs are using Polymeters and polyrhythms so meshuggah just seemed kind of boring to me for a few listens.

i would guess people compare the dep and a7x because greg's singing voice has a similar timbre to the other singer's voice(especially in this song), but that's really it. Dillinger is way different, much heavier and has a lot more going on. i don't listen to a7x cause it sounds "poppy" to my ears, although dillinger has popular elements in their style, they still always bring it back to that nasty DEP sound. which is why they rule

......So anyways.... Who gives a fuck. This was the first song by DEP I ever heard with their new singer. I thought they had sold out, because the damn song is so catchy. I didn't buy this album until long after it was out, then was so pissed at myself when I finally did. I wish I had bought it sooner. It was like rediscovering DEP all over again.
