I think the parents did overeact, but bear in mind that this two year old is a late child, meaning that the plaintiff (who looks more like his grandaddy) fathered him later in life and is hence over-protective. Having said that, the defendants sould stop making excuses and just say "We are sorry", instead of trying to justify their silliness!
my mother invited the police to come to our house unannounced just so they could see we were little F words,we were not abused by our parents we abused them
I like Garrett, he seems charming and honest. I do think the Plaintiffs over-reacted - but maybe it's their first baby after lots of miscarriages or something, so they're quite over-protective. JJ was right, but I don't think that Garrett would ever have set out to deliberately harm anyone. x
OMG! I realize this is an "enlightened" age when it concerns how we raise children. But, jeez, a little common sense please. you dont take your child to the doctor for a little bruise on the knee. Im guessing that poor little boy is going to grow up a total wuss
ANY time a child hits his head, you go to the ER. Period. No doubt the 8 year old hit him accidentally but just becasue it wasn't intentional doesn't mean his parents shouldn't pay. Suck it up, put on your big girl panties, pay the damn bills, & be grateful both boys are happy & healthy
thats a ridiculous lawsuit. Too many greedy people suing good people. These are kids. They get hurt. Those parents are teaching thier kids poor values.
@fiamma2109 The kid was 2 years old! He got hit by a fatass of an 8 year old who appears to be somewhat retarded flying through on a bike. Fuck that! They should've been watching him...ESPECIALLY if there were that many people on the track as the kid testified.
We raised two boys. If we took them to the ER every time one of them fell or crashed we would have lived in the ER. A little common sense can go a long way.
@Marty933 I agree. When I was a child I was ALWAYS bleeding or bruised or limping. I thought this case was crazy until I heard the little boy bumped his head on the hard ground. You NEVER know about head trauma.
$800 to visit the ER for a few scrapes? Single-payer health care may have its problems, but it does help keep stupid lawsuits from clogging the courts when there's no bill to bicker over.
Audio outta sync but thanks for the upload.

You don’t have to be a nurse or a doctor to know this. There are clear signs to indicate if a fall needs medical attention or not.
