  • Great! Love the shot where they are holding up the tree!

  • How old is that thing.

  • Hi, It must be over 200 years old i am guessing but am not too sure of the longevity of Ashh trees?

  • The Ash tree lives around 2000 years.

    Hello

Not wanting to be pedantic or anything but do you perhaps have an image or provable reference to Ash trees having this kind of longevity as I would be genuinely interested to know ?

I have only got to somewhere around 300 -500 years for the Fraxinus excelsior (The Clapton Court Ash), so any provable advance on this would be greatly appreciated.

    Many Thanks

  • Nice to see someone else who has a love for trees....... thankyou so much for sharing your findings :)

  • thanks so much glad you liked it. There should be more coming soon I hope.

  • Its great that you are also inspiring your children to appreciate ancient and veteran trees, if only there were more about like yourself.

    All the best to you.
