  • I was a teenager when this joint was blasting all over NYC. Lol.

  • "Nothing, will ever match or equal the era of 80's disco and high energy. Back then it was all about dancing ! NOT DRUGS, NOT FIGHTING, NOT GANGS !!!!

Also back then we used to dress up. I almost always wore a suit with bad ass hair.

  • I love this! Who does not remember all the good house parties!

  • I don't think today's music is crap, unlike what most people say. Here's the deal:

80s music was so ORIGINAL and it's own. Not to mention, when good music ages, it increases it's originality. Truth is, I kinda thought this type of music was goofy, and now I love it.

And just to make things clear, I love this song. It makes me want to jump back in a time machine.

in year 2025, will we adore '00s music the way we love 80s music today?

  • SO EXPOSE'... I think it was produced by the same guy! Excellent tune!

  • Wow, this song really takes me back, cruising Whittier Blvd. in my dropped clean Nissan 720.

  • All Time Classic......

  • This song is cool w/it's 80's funk. It makes me wanna go to the club!

  • im glad theres like minded people on here when it comes to music. people who are against us would say "oh ya just hatin on our music. lil wayne and daddy yankee is the sh*t"

  • Franklin High School Dances in HLP

  • I was a little kid when this came out -- I remember it fondly. Thanks for posting!!

  • No wonder I never heard of them!!! Blah!

  • it was dance music only for USA-people. In Italy and in Europe in 80 the dance music was different. Sequal and Expose never saled records in my country

  • No other time in history has had so much awesome music from so many genres.

  • @Chusonv I agree!

  • @flygirlmom None of the "booty shakin', gagsta hip hop" of today can replace

80's freestyle; when it was all about a guy grooving and dancing

with his favorite lady without being thought of as gay, sell drugs

or shoot someone in the process.

  • @flygirlmom You are right! I blame the music & movie industry for rewarding that image. Today's junk is like "musical crack"! It's destructive and counter-productive. People had the same problems then, but it was danced away, and/or most sang or rapped about how they were going to be prosperous anyway. Hip Hop didn't start this way, and I miss how hip hop and freestyle were intertwined. I pray it gets better so I kids can experience some real fun...

  • @flygirlmom

I agree. Today's stuff is mostly extremely annoying, and just plain bad. Completely talentless, and the most amazing of all, is that people are buyiing it and the "artists" are making boku bucks!

Freestyle and Hip Hop both had its beginnings in Electro,Funk, and Breakbeat, and then they veered off in completely different directions.

Freestyle was also referred to as Latin Hip Hop as well......

  • OMG, this was my shit!!!!!!!!!

  • Lol...... yeah right this is crap!!!!

  • I actually forgot this song till now, Damn I miss those days @ Homestead AFB, FL!!!!

  • I just listen too this song, and I went back in the 80's.

  • @SuchAPrettyMess

    Yes Lewis A. Martinee

  • Louis was a great producer..one of his best
