Twilight is a "meh" book on it's own, but when it's compared to other serieses like Harry Potter, then it truly sucks. Haha I totally agree! Twilight seems like it was created to fulfill someone's fantasies, as opposed to engaging the reader in STIMULATING literature. The only reason it's "so easy to relate" to the characters of Twilight is because they're, I'm guessing, misfits, as always.

I actually understand why girls like this book even though it's poorly written. This was one of the first books I read that introduced me into the Fiction (or vampire or whatever) gender, and that's why I liked it. However after getting to read different, better books and then going back to this one, I can't get past the first few chapters. Girls like this because it's popular so they think it's good and they don't have a comparison to better literature.

Twilight is a "meh" book on it's own, but when it's compared to other serieses like Harry Potter, then it truly sucks. And then you have its rabid fans who have never read a decent book in their lives, going around with their bad grammar and bad poetry, using "I bet you read Harry Potter" as an insult. I actually understand why girls like this book even though it's poorly written. This was one of the first books I read that introduced me into the Fiction (or vampire or whatever) gender, and that's why I liked it. However after getting to read different, better books and then going back to this one, I can't get past the first few chapters. Girls like this because it's popular so they think it's good and they don't have a comparison to better literature.
