So in theory, you could run this KickTOS on a Amiga 1200 with 2mb of RAM and be ably to run any ST you like? Hell i bet you could even run it on a A500 with a meg of RAM?
@zaphodb777 Nah, it's more like what a C64 would be if it was designed specifically to be built with components ANY company could have got in the 80s, as the ST was actually a Tramel Tech project before Tramiel bought out Atari Consumer.
The biggest problem with Amiga vs Atari ST is the chip sound, they (Amiga) forgot to include a channel dedicated for SFX, it should be 5 channels and not just 4 at least. Two them are for left and other for right, with SFX begin mixed on both channels. Believe or not, w/o SFX it was a big design fail, since they used those computers 95% for games.
Ahahah, a humble A1000 running the crappy Atari OS. This will finally show those losers what machine is superior. Atari is just a 2600 system with a keyboard and never was anything better than this.
Umm, the Atari 2600 is actually the grandfather of the Amiga. Both had the same designers, and the 2600 video chip (TIA), believe it or not, has quite a lot of things in common.
i have one anybody want to buy it?

Hell, an Amiga 4000 with a 68060 upgrade can even run Windows 95 albeit slowly :P

The ST was essentially a 16 bit C=64.
The Amiga was essentially a 16 bit 800XL.
All hail Jay Miner!
It's no wonder the Amiga could run TOS then. (Waiting for the bloody screams from C=64 fans.)

Go back in time and show this to atari owners, They'd switch over immediately. GEM was cool though.

How much Atari ST stuff can it run?
Can you run the ST software-only Mac emulator on this Amiga running TOS?
SaganAppreciationSoc 3 years ago 4
obviously nothing which needs the special atari chipset ... but this is really fun.
I like the grey TOS very much - it's relaxing ...
