I got mine for 80 dollars at a reptile show in eastern kentucky. Try to figure out if there's a reptile show somewhere around where you live. But be prepared to have the money to take care of it by updateing it's incloser frequently and feeding it once a week then to every two weeks. Snakes can go a month without eating, but it's not healthy.

snakes dont pick up heat movement with their tounges only some do with pits on their face kind of like nostrils but the tongue they use to kind of taste the air for prey. just thought i would let you know

Some snakes are so good that they can kill with the first strike, sounds harsh but thats natures way. I would rather have my neck snapped than thrown in the freezer like these people are saying is soooo much better. I'm a serious animal lover (of both cute little fuzzies and dangerous predators) but I also realise that this is the course of nature.
