  • el mejor espectaculo, sin duda bono sexy sexy sexy

  • such a nice opening!

  • UNO DE LOS MEJORES TOUR DE U2

    pero no se compara al

ZOO TV tour 92-93 es el mejor tour

de U2 a mi parecer JUNTO CON EL ALBUM ACHTUNG BABY EL MEJOR DISCO de u2 YEAHHHHHHHHH MY FAVORITE BAND

u2 is the best band of the world

THE BEST ALBUM IS ACHTUNG BABY of all times

TODOS SUS ALBUNES DE U2 SON LOS MEJORES yeahhh

  • Para mi el mejor tour de U2 es el Zootv pero yo veo mucho mas el PopMart y si el mejor disco es el ACHTUNG BABY coincido

  • ahh popmart tour 1998, that was the year everyone was questioning their music after the pop didn't do too well, i loved the pop cd, very original and i loved the original version of staring at the sun and if god will send his angels.

  • kinda looks like the big podium from the 360 stage the orange thing there

  • ¿Binieron a México?

  • MEXICANO ILETRADO!!

  • something tells me bono has a MASSIVE EGO

  • that's what's cool about rck, your aloud to have an ego as long as its entertaining

  • allowed*

  • cool as fuk

  • ROLON!!!!

  • My brother attended to this concert! He said it was crazy! I wished I was older enough to go with him! ha

  • Fuck Yes!

  • The coughing seemed to be for effect...since he was doing it intentionally into the mic...and he's definitely saying 'fuck yesss' (I think XD)

    Anyway, cool show

  • Oh well he could have been clearing his throat. Either way...

  • 4:20 love drums

  • You can clearly hear him say "this". The "S" at the end is extremely clear.

  • Comment removed

  • IT I think

    look at the mouth

    :))))

    XXX to Bono for that

  • Ummm no cause his coughing wasn't real. He said it just because.

  • it was ALMOST cool... if he did it on time... but bono don't know no time he's bono he's timeless and god and everything else thats better in the world haha

  • They should definately revive this song on the 360 Tour and perhaps play it again on the European 2010 Leg... My alltime favourite U2 song

  • i agree zaludman, and bring back dicotheque, crumbs, god part 2,In gods country, dirty days, and daddy gonna pay for your crashed car

  • this performance was one of the coolest things ive ever seen in my life!

  • Imagine if they would have put this on the Pop album. That would be f'ing sweet.

  • I was actually there in Mexico city the biggest city in the world witnessed all of the rage, wrath and fury of the best rock band in the world one of my best experiences as well

  • tell us more edgar

  • I had 3 years old when they came with the popmart tour in mexico, now let´s see them in the 360 tour!!!! U2 rocks

  • Oh please, please, please, hope they play this song at the 360 tour. September could not come soon enough.

  • You didn't even listen to the song, you dolt. Those two singers sang a completely different song than this one.

  • le falta sentimiento a la cancion en vivo

  • This song makes them sound like Jane's Addiction. Bono has the same voice as the guy from Jane's. And this song has that bit of a hard rock sound sometimes. Same style chords as one of the songs I saw at the NIN/JA concert recently

  • In that analogy U2 is a poor mans JA. Although I like this song.

  • Like songs from the Unforgettable Fire, songs they played on the Unforgettable Fire tour.

  • They did a homage to the ZOOTV days on the Vertigo tour...They played Zoo Station, The Fly, and Mysterious Ways for hte encore at most shows, along with other songs. They had the zoo baby on the screen and everything. Judging by the songs that they've been rehearsing for the upcoming shows, they're going back to the UF days for this tour.

  • SONG IZ AWESOME!!!

  • Simply put...U2 is the GREATEST ROCK AND ROLL band since the Beatles!! I have seen them several times in concert, and they ALWAYS give back to the crowd 100%. They have never sold out and always kept their identity. This is proven in one way by the fact that they have never changed personnel within the group. They have been performing together for almost 40 years. LONG LIVE U2...AND MUCH CONGRATULATIONS!!

  • They have been performing together for almost 31 years :) they started at 1978

  • yea im going oct.9 at tampa stadium, and this song would be great if they would play it. This song is one of my fav. u2 songs and I think its very underrated.

  • im really hoping they play this song in their 360 tour

  • u2 will prove themselves again, in 5 weeks, camp nou barca!

  • U2 rules!

  • The tone on Edge's bar chords is absolutely mind-blowing! It's raw, yet has such definition. Not to mention that intro Eb. Edge and U2 are killer!!!!

  • are ye nuts this band is on top of their game nobody can touch em

  • Don't know how you got here, you just know you want out, believing in yourself almost as much as you doubt! Great lyrics.

  • look the last minute.....Marilyn forever!!!!

    the best part!!!!

  • the only reason i had the batman forever soundtrack.but i think this would have been more fitting for a bond flick.

  • They should play this song on live again!!! That would be awsome! I never saw them on live before, I will see them for the 360° Tour and I 'm a little sad to think that I will never hear this song on live :'(

  • im going to see them at the 360 tour for the first time too

im going to their show in la

    its gonna be awesome

it would be so cool if they play this

  • This song needs more than just the 4 of them on stage to be played live, it sounds too stripped down and loses the epic and hard edged feel the recorded version had. They either needed to have more sequencers/synth/string parts playing in the background througout or have additional musicians on stage i.e. a full orchestra:)

  • Nah - the recorded version is too overproduced (with the strings). The heavy emphasis on the guitar and drums in the live version is a HUGE improvement.

  • This is hands down U2's best song. It actually has a guitar riff, and the structure of the song is perfect. They probably don't play it because, every song after would sound like ambient crap.

  • @moonwatcherATX - ha ha ha so true!

  • Haha!

    U2 h8tr! : )

  • What an ignorant comment.

So how are things going in you're perfect/ predictable universe anyhow?

  • I'll agree the band has pretty much completely lost any of the magic they once had. But your critique is weak at best. Since when has delay not been a part of their sound. And as for Bono having a political agenda, that's hardly newsworthy

  • Wow! Everyone is entitled to their opinion, but I think these guys can still do it. Magnificent from the new album is just awesome. My church's band played that song for our 2 Easter services. Classic to me and our band.

  • this is u2's onl good song

  • i luv batman forever and u2

  • how this song is still not played live by them is retarded, one of their most successful singles, my favourite of theirs

  • Maybe it's because they don't want to be associated with the bad Batman films.

  • LOL! Very, very good answer.

Then again - 'Million Dollar Hotel'....

    : )

  • Elevation remix was great and Tomb Raider was pretty god damned awful, it's like a trend with U2 of making great music for shitty films!

  • batman soundtracks have always featured good music, regardless of the quality of the film. the OST for 1997's Batman and Robin, possibly the shittiest Batman film ever, featured the Smashing Pumpkins, Goo Goo Dolls, Underworld and REM. To be fair though, it did also have R Kelly.

  • Massive Attack was on the Forever album.

  • bono doesn't really pull off the vocals live. Awesome awesome song though.

  • go batman!!!

  • Remeber when U2 were authentic? ... Pop was the last authentic u2 album for sure

  • Bring back the good old days of Elvis! Or Sinatra.

  • Larry was playing great

  • Maybe if this was on the Dark Knight soundtrack they'd still be playing this live.

  • wouldn't work in Nolan's universe the slightest.....

  • I'm just saying that being on the Joel Schumacher Batman soundtracks isn't really something to be proud of.

  • Do you really think someone like Bono or The Edge care that much about it ?

This song like Batman Forever soundtrack kicks ass and that's the most important thing to me.

Though it's not on an album so they don't feel the need to play it anymore.

  • They won't play it live because it's not on an album?

That logic makes little sense. The 1998 Godzilla sucked but RATM still plays "No Shelter" live, despite it not being on an album.

Maybe they wrote it before they saw the movie or something.

  • It's not a logic but a simple fact.

I can name you other bands who have done a cover of a song or a special one for a movie and which have never ever played them the slightest live (ex : Muse covering "House Of The Rising Sun" and "Can't Take My Eyes Off You".

Take this song as a B Side of sorts for them.

That's exactly what it is, they did play it on this tour because of the proximity to Batman Forever (released in 1995).

Now there's absolutely ZERO point for them to play it again.

  • And your logic makes also little sense. Just Because another Band is playing a song they've made for a movie ten days ago on every single gig doesn't mean other bands have or are simply wanting to do the same.

My "logic" was also that U2 prefers to forget this song right now since they're not fond of it anymore and the slightest.

Another point could be, that fans are not demanding them to play it when they're meeting them backstage or elsewhere, plain and simple.

  • Whatever. Maybe you're right.

But one thing is for sure - I don't really like the music videos that show clips of the film, because it's pretty much blatant product placement.

If it was for a truly iconic movie, they'd still be playing it probably. Batman Forever is widely perceived as one of the worst Batman movies.

The only reason the Smashing Pumpkins perform "TBITEITB" live is because fans now associate it with Watchmen instead of Batman & Robin.

  • You have a point about this kick ass song getting associated to some "crap" movie (while I did enjoy it for what it was, a goofy, over the top adaptation of a Comic Book. I did enjoy Jim Carrey impersonation of The Riddler on it).

So yes that's, perharps, why the band is not performing it anymore right now.

Because of the affiliation to the Schumacher fiasco.

I do think it should have gotten included on the Discotheque album, it fits the mood of this album pretty well.

  • The album was called Pop and it was released two years after this song came out.

  • Yeah Pop, I was thinking of Discotheque since it's the only song I was fan of on this album.

They still could have included it anyway.

  • U2 apparently hated the Pop album themselves. It's kind of like their St. Anger. The songs from the album were remixed for their best of.

Fun fact - Soundgarden wrote Spoonman for a movie, but eventually decided to make a new version for Superunknown. But that song, along with many others by them is always eclipsed (no pun intended) by Black Hole Sun.

  • Man it's pretty odd from you to name Spoonman here and you know why ?

Cause each time I listen to Spoonman, I'm thinking Hold Me Thrill Me Kiss Me Kill Me, because of the main guitar riff (i've discovered Spoonman after HTKK that's why).

So when I've discovered this song (I'm more into Audioslave when it comes to Cornell to be honest), I was "huh this riff reminds me something else ! Batman Forever U2 ! And I was mad looking for who created the riff first, Kim or The Edge.

  • I like both Audioslave and Soundgarden, but I prefer Soundgarden by far. In fact, they're like my second favourite next to Alice in Chains.

I'm just mortified that Chris Cornell has now joined the dark side...

  • What's the Dark Side ?

Cornell was bad ass with The RATM's section.

Well to be honest, Bad ass on the albums, live he looked uncomfortable and out of place at some moments.

Morello was definitively the star of the show.

I'm a big fan of both RATM and Slave so Cornell was never a big factor in my musical life till Slave.

Muse being my very fave band since 2001.

And oddly enough they're claiming that their next album will be heavily influenced by.....U2

  • The Dark Side meaning Cornell has ditched the simple and stripped-down "guitar, drums and bass" instrumentation for synth and samples.

Listen to "Part of Me" or the whole Scream album and you'll know what I mean. I blame Timbaland.

  • I didn't listen to any single Cornell stuff recently outside of his bond theme.

And what's wrong with using synth ?

U2 themselves evolved quite well on Pop by using them.

Same for Muse. I do dig synths.

If a rock band wants to evolve they will need to use them sooner than later.

If not, you're doing the same guitar/bass/drums stuff on loop and becoming stale sooner than later (till you're damn creative like Morello, Commerford and Wilk).

  • What I meant to say was that synthesizers shouldn't overshadow the traditional guitars and drums.

After Pop, U2 stripped themselves down and it worked.

Guitarists can get very creative with effects and can sound like anything but a guitar. Tom Morello wasn't the first guitarist to do this.

  • I agree, I'm all for the keyboards as long as you can still listen to good guitar riffs, bass grooves and drum explosion.

Jimi Hendrix, his very hero did.

I'm also a big fan of Ritchie Blackmore (Deep Purple).

  • To be honest with you. The Guitar in this song was my favorite part. Keyboards just add to the awesomeness.

  • I agree, this should have been on the Dark Knight soundtrack.

  • Bono, great singer...and cougher.

  • shoot me, shoot me, shoot me, lol.

  • Their shows have sadly lacked in soul since Bono turned the band into "U2, Inc." back in 2000.

*sigh* It's devilishly ironic that he came to embody everything he hated about The Fly.

  • Don't quite agree with this. Watch Streets from Slane Castle if you want an example of "soul" at a post 2000 U2 gig.

  • Eh, to each is own I suppose. Maybe it's really just me, and I'm just getting older and more cynical. :-P

  • Watch their first single Out of Control at Slane, even a better example of continuing raw soul if you need it. DragonDDT just took The Fly a little too seriously. Don't look at a rock star if you want philsophy and politcs.

  • "The Edge" is a killer guitar player!!!

  • that was fucking cool

  • salU2

  • 4:55...I was I were that camera!!

  • Oh yeah, he says "Fuck this" at the beginning because they pretended to end the show just before this song.

  • Edge's guitar riff between the chords kicks ass!!!

  • Bono's clothes are totally reeking of awesomeness

  • He says 'fuck yessss'.

  • He says "Fuck this."

    (except with 200% more awesomeness)
