i have been told by my doc to dilate 3 times a day 15min every artical and trans on here has said 5 to 6 times for 30min am i doing the right thing? is my doc wrong?
@misslora80 Every doctor is different and has their own opinions on the dilating process. It's still usually a progressively decreasing regimen. For the first 2 months or so you should be dilating at a higher frequency and then moving on to less sets per day at such intervals as 6 month and 1 year. So it's hard to say whether he's right or not, but 3 times a day at 15 minutes sounds a little sparse for a immediately post op regimen.
Hi Angel, I am very happy to here that every thing went great with your surgery. I hope that you feel more like the true you now. I to am wanting to go through the srs as well but I'm not sure yet, but your story has inspired me. Thank you.
Thats what the doctor ordered, Apparently shes seen cases where those who do less have lost depth/width and had complications. But in 2-3 weeks I get to go down to 4x. :D
Well luckily (or unluckily) I'm not employed at present and due to the schedule I won't be looking for a job til it goes down to 4x a day. I have to work the rest of my life around it. I know that I have to dilate every 2 or 2 1/2 hours on average and just fit everything else in between. Sucks socially.
When its 4x a day, I'll be able to do one in the morning, go to work, do one during lunch, do one when I get home and one before I go to bed. :)
@LadySaea - You'll find the first year is pretty crucial with dialation. I had to do 5-6 times a day at first. And you just go down gradually. Now I just do it daily. Or maybe every two days. I know its a bit of a chore at first but you do get to integrate it into your everyday life eventually.
Yeah, it's not too bad. I'm down to 3-4 times a day right now and should be able to switch to 1-2 times a day here in 3-4 weeks. It's just a necessary part of lives. No reason to get to bent out of shape about it. :)
why not just leave the dialator in your vagina? just curious
