DOES ANYONE REMEMBER when the turtles were affected by some sort of alien crystals that made them mutate into a more bigger and cool/scary* version of themselves? I remember watching some episodes in the 90's but I never saw how it ended.

*each turtle had spiked shells and if I remember correctly Donnie had super tech vision while Ralph could shoot missiles from his arm.

Have anyone noticed that the TMNT were so cute and funny in the 1980 but now theyre so serious and not to mention VIOLENT. I saw an episode where one of them actually were bleeding, and it sort of chocked me. No wonder young kids wanna see horror and war movies and play that kinds of games when even the cartoons are violent.

you forgot to include the 5th member of the turtles... the girl turtle in teal... i think her name is venus, but she was a new member, but for some strange reason the authors decided to just cut her out and just place her up as cameos later on such as TMNT vs. Power Rangers. they needed one more turtle to make it a fair fight and decided to bring her back... they really didnt add any members but her i think... funny...

@leetfeetman i get what you all are trying to say... it's actually Peter Laird who dislikes the Venus de Milo character. and i agree with him. it kinda tampers with the origin story. the fact that they fight over her romantically kinda ruins the family part... makes it obvious that they're not blood brothers. and Laird didn't like that one bit. it was one of the rules that Laird had set when they filmed the 2007 film. hahah... "no mention of the female turtle"

I love everything tmnt from the 2003 series n ahead so far. plus the movies were not bad either. i hated the next mutation w/ a passion n thought the 1987 cartoon too much of a joke. Plus mona lisa was in that one n i hate her XP. This isn't a slam or anything, but you forgot the Mirage Turtles. They were originally a comic book. I didn't know that until a few weeks ago. Now those turtles kicked butt. They were even more edgier then the 2003 Turtles.

Actually the original comic was in black and white... it was only when they took those original comic and put them into graphic novel form were they in color. In B/W you could only tell them apart by their weapons and personality when you read them.. Not even intials on their belts. It was only when the 4-player vid arcade game came out that they had the different color bandanas, different green tones and the initialed betls.. I have some of those first b/w comics to this day.
