This was my 1st date when I was 12, and read the book. He was 13.(our parents ok) He cried at the end when walking me home. Too much for Chuck?  We broke up the next day at school. Love Story was a bit slow for me at that age.

That "tang" is Ali McGraw!!!!! She was born in 1938 - so she is about 71 years old - and currently lives in Santa Fe, New Mexico!!

She was married to 2 producers then Steve McQueen for 5 years!!

And she is personally responsable for half of America's teenage boys in teh 1970's - discovering a 30 - 45 minute showers!!!!!!!!!

And - Uh - Oh - YES - I'd hit it!!!!!!!!

I have to admit: I'm positively stupid over "Love Story" in both book and movie form. I know several of my former classmates from many years back go so far as to say anyone who appreciates this book is in dire need of having his/her degree revoked, but I'll gladly hand mine back on account of "Love Story". I remember reading it on the down low in Senior English and leaving the room mid-class since I was bawling. Loved it ever since.
