Hello, well heres the story, i jailbroke my ipod touch at my friends house and i used "blackra1n" so now everytime i wanna sync my ipod to MY computer at my house it gives me the option to delete everything and sync it or cancel. any ideas? my firmware is 3.1.2 and its a 32 gb ipod touch. should i use redsn0w? will it delete anything if i jailbrake it with redsn0w?

hey i did this and after i click browse it asks if i have an MC model which i do but it says after that CAUTION:if you have an MC model and u dont correctly identify it here you will likely need to do a full official restore to fix the mistake losing any unsynced data... what does all that mean?

@mzrycko020 --- k instead of downloading the firmware from the site I give you, you might wanna try going to google and search your firmware download. for example, "ipod touch 2.2.1 firmware download" and try to find one.

then use that one instead :)

after you download the ipod firmware, put it into your documents or something, or your desktop. (somewhere that you will remember) and then you will be able to find it.

yes you can. and you should know what gen your ipod is when you bought it. if the chrome lining is back its 1G. the chrome trim is silver, its 2G. if the chrome trim is silver and you bought it just 1-3 months ago, its a 3G.

1.yes, you need internet to get into cydia. cydia is sorta like the appstore except for 3rd party applications. you will need internet at all times to access cydia.

2. yes, winterboard is to enable backrounds and themes on your ipod touch. you can always put the themes off if you do not like them anymore.

3. yes, everything is reversable on your ipod once it is jailbroken. you may do whatever you wish and nothing will stop you. you can always change or remove something if you don't like it.

i dont think so, but you'll have to google the firmware download. its best to go back to 3.0 or less, then after the jailbreak go back to 3.1.1

dude im stuck, i downloaded redsnow and thats fine, but when i downloaded my version of my ipod which is Ipod Touch 2G (2.2.1/5H11a) it messes up, like at 2:12 it shows your firmware as a yellow folder mine it shows a cube with the itunes logo and something that looks like a floppy disk, i redownloaded it and it did the same thing, ill make a video and show you exactly what im doin if thats ok??
