Along with Rubycon and Phaedra this is the brilliant essence of Tangerine Dream.
I get some strange looks in the car at the traffic lights with the windows rolled down playing this, when I put my semi-circular ping-pong balls in my eye sockets and drive off I get a strange response, priceless! Absolutely superb music, many thanks for the upload, danke!
Tangerin dream, klaus Schulze, Tim Blake master of synthé's music during 1970's years... lsd perhaps?! a truly research about invader contact (the good source of light in the sky), like third kind encounter movies, for escape to the cold war between US and URSS !

I'm 4 years old and I like this music. Thats right, 4. My parents allowed me to listen to TD since I was born and now I am a super-genius. I've turned down teaching positions at various universities to focus on my goal of creating the ultimate unifying theory of everything that exists. I am only 0.3% complete and I can already predict what will happen in the year 5097.
i am 15......i am a huge fan of tangerine dream, i'm not hipster or "gangsta", i genuinely love this along with classic rock/metal. When i found a zeit original vinyl copy for £3 it made my fucking life.
@dequadim man, just have a look at producers like rhythm & sound, rod modell or fluxion ;) . Music for the spirit still exist, but not at TV, for sure!
The glissando guitar is used to great effect. Check out its use by Gong (Daevid Allen & Steve Hillage) as well. Gives that extra 'spacey' feel. Took me a little while to get into Zeit back in the 70"s but it is a classic.
Wonderfull stuff been into TD since their original album electronic meditation I must say never did like anything after poland here my own personal faves are this one ZIET, Phaedra, Rubycon, Alpha Centurie, Atem, Green dessert, Hyperborea so this is a welcome chill might even slap the whole ZIET CD on now LOL great stuff *S*
it's sufficiently bizarre enuff music to read fried sci-fi to, may the gods have mercy ( if they'd be thus kind and can find some time in their busy-ass sched-yules, fellow zanies...)
Fourth beauty album of German band Tangerine Dream .... Edgar Froese - Chris Franke - Peter Baumann ... With little help of Florian Fricke (Popol Vuh ... at the moog)
Albums recorded with quadriphonische system to feel better this Cosmic voyage .......
LSD period music and new sounds ..... Zeit is a voyage in the mind of men
Wow, I used to know a little bit about this band but you know a LOT. Is this the one that John Peel liked or was it Atem? which was '73 I think. Nice comment, fogbow63.
@fogbow63 I love this sound. I don't need LSD to appreciate it. It seems that I've come home from the wilderness of Western musak. 1969-77 was the great period of pioneering German electronica, what else! Mike from South Wales.

Definately a modern lullaby, it nearly put me to sleep in front of the computer. I do like it though.

Just so everyone knows, the album has just been remastered on double CD.
Got my copy already, and it sounds AMAZING.
What's on the 2nd disc? Klangwald. Check it.

Amazing how thirty years later, this album recorded on what now seems like primitive gear, still sounds so sublime.
