The alcohol, nicotine and caffeine industries, along with the anti-depressant and sleep aid pharma industries will never allow marijuana to be legalized. Their bottom line will suffer because of a weed that anyone can grow. Originally the drug laws were put on the books to justify incarceration of minorities. They are still being used in that manner. I don't understand why anyone would want to get high or drunk in the first place. To forget troubles? Instead of fighting to overcome them?

You know, My children had the DARE program and they had a scratch and sniff card and was actually told to report anyone that smells like those stickers. My kids came home and told me about it. Yes, they are to report drugs and over use of booze in the home or at someone elses home. They themselves said, why tattle on someone if you didnt see them do it they just smelled bad? Great point indeed! I remember going through DARE as a kid and being told to do the same thing. I thought the same as your children. Why tell on people for smelling bad? Your children are very smart and you listening to them proves you are a very smart person and great mom. Parents should be the ones educating their kids about drugs. NOT cops.
