I think this theme is really representative of who Batman really is. A man conflicted by his duty, b/c Batman is the monster he unleashes and the beast he must rein in; which is why he did not kill the Joker.
@silentbob8201 Well, idiots or not, it didn't feel right to have a Batman movie without that song. No Star Wars, Indiana Jones, or Superman film would be complete without their respective themes, so why should Batman have to be?
Besides, anyone who actually saw the film would probably be able to tell that it's a new continuity. And if they had put it in, maybe they could have done it like Casino Royale, where the theme is absent until the beginning of the end credits.
@SergeantLuke Said Batman theme hadnt been used in a Batman film since 1992. Even Mask of the Phantasm didnt use it. ANd Batman didnt get his full theme in Begins till the end credits.
@silentbob8201 No, an alternate version of the theme was used in Batman Forever, Batman and Robin, and the first season of Batman: The Animated Series.
@SergeantLuke Yes Alternate as in not the same theme as the Burton Films at all. As for the Batman Animated Series yeah Shirley Walker composed a version of the Elfman score for the show She also conducted the Orchastra for Mr Oingo Boingo. Ps they used the Elfman music thru most of its run baring the later half of season 3 when they changed the show to the new adventures of Batman and Robin when Batman Forever came out. Again they havent used it in a movie since 92.
@shivsiatealamp Heath ledger was rubbish, people think he is good because people tell them he is good (with these people are usually the same morons from twitter) and people only tell other people he's good because he dead well im glad he killed himself.. he added some realism to the franchise and this time at least the bad guys cant just come back again.. at least one of them cant.
@SuperSonicSuicide i agree. he didnt do that good of a job. if you want to talk about one of the best jokers, try the game arkham asylum, that is by far the most manic deadliest looney yet serious joker i have ever seen.
hey guys if u wanna here some "NEW" news on batman i need at least 3 people to do a good reply to this comment (1:trust me it's worth it i got news that other people "don't know" i just gave u a "clue" 2:start of by saying @mattgameboy1

TELL ME, TELL ME, TELL ME, TELL ME how to get it. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE!!!
well, that was Christopher Nolan's vision for The Dark Knight... he wanted it to be a dark film. I have a feeling that the new one coming out is going to be the best Batman yet, just because it has an enormous budget, it's the last in the trilogy, and the previous two films have been setting us up for something BIG.
@stinkyglasses yes, but they are still working on a script and havent begun castin yet. christian bale is still doing batman and gary oldman is still doing gordon
Read somewhere that some kind of word about a third film coming out could be announced around January.
Even if Nolan doesn't want to make a third though Warner Bros will still go a head with it with a new director so i reckon an announcement will come in January or around that time regardless. I do think Nolan will do another though, if he doesn't it's because he knows he can't follow the Dark Knight.
I loved the elfman version too, but this new theme is too chilling!! Love it, hans zimmer is the master of making the veiwer's heart race. He's not one of those hear-it-once-and -you-can-hum-it sort of composer but he has the talent to play along with the movie :]
Its a damn shame this one doesn't appear on the soundtrack as its easily the best piece.
I was a bit disappointed with ZImmers score for being a bit tuneless and that Molossus fanfare makes me cringe (doesn't sound like a Batman theme at all).
This however, is really good and should have been used much much more.
@ExAstris37 In my opinion Elfman's theme suits the previous Batman movies - childish fairy tales. This theme has a darker tone to it, perfectly suiting Nolan's movies about The Caped Crusader.
As for Zimmer's best work, I would say Pirates of the Caribbean. That's just my opinion, though, I respect yours.
@MrThejackhamma To me Elfman has the darker theme. Ominous orchestra chanting are not childish fairy tales. Zimmer's Batman theme is ok but I hear some repetitive parts in his works; I heard something here around 1:20 that resembles the intro for "All I Ever Wanted" in the Prince of Egypt but deeper.
@MrThejackhamma how was Nolan's universe darker? In Begins I saw darkness, in TDK plenty of Action and slight drama from the death of Dawes. Even the most childish of things have a bit of darkness in them..
Dark Knight Was great. didnt like the ending though. spoilers batman killing harvey.just didnt seem like something batman would normally do, especially with the previous 2 hours of moralising.
i think that's why they called it "dark" knight and besides, he isn't that close to the batman we know yet. dark knight takes place a little over a year after he just became batman. he's still learning....plus he was trying to save a kid.
to have him kill someone after all that after 2 hours of making him incorruptable(actually doing what the joker wanted) i just couldnt buy the ending after that. and as for him saving the kid, he wouldnt have just launched the three of them over the edge of a multi story building. hes clever enough and sneaky enough to have disarmed harvey without jimmy getting hurt. as for him still learning, in batman begins he spends SEVEN YEARS learning to know how to handle situations like that.
yes he spent 7 years training on situations that're not PERSONALLY close to him.his actions right now are still driven by his emotions something he must still learn how to control.harvey standoff:1)been fighting for hours, gets shot in the gut & he's 10 feet from harvey.he had to make a choice. harvey already made his.he is the dark knight, not superman.joker knew he was pretty screwed up in the head too, that's why he likes him so much.the key here is the title of the movie which is DARK KNIGHT.

hmm, well i have movie plus 5 and with that you can make layers like vegas, so what you can do is hide the pic with the video and keep the music :) then if you want add another video layer and make your vid with this music and whatever video footage you want, great thing is you wont see the picture :) hope this helped.
You're very welcome. Aaaand, I just recently uploaded the actual TDK theme, so now everyone can hear both the BB and TDK themes. Just look in the discription or the Video Responses area for the vid link.
The problem w/DK is Bats created his own technology, he was F'N BRILLIANT A SCIENTIFIC, TACTICAL and MARTIAL ARTS GENIUS! But in the two films they made Lucas his "source" which is bullshit. Bats can make that device himself. Remember in the film he "made some changes... improvements" to Lucas's device. Inorder to do that he'd HAVE TO POSSESS the scientific genius to reverse engineer it since he didn't create it.Bats in these two films is awesome minus the fact he's more reactive than proactive.
yeah but it makes sense that he has someone else do it. he really doesn't have the time to fight crime, pretend to be bruce wayne playboy, pretend to care about wayne enterprises day to day operations, and then invent everything he needs. think about it, if wayne had to make his own batmobile, it'd still be in pieces. if he's got brilliant guys working for him that design weapons, let THEM design what he needs and he makes input on how to improve it.
i'll agree that batman begins really didn't show off waynes brilliance, not like the 89 movie and forever did. but the dark knight did when he modded fox's sonar device.
Batman doesn't really have time to fight crime and pretend to be Bruce Wayne, so I don't think he could also fit in time to make his own gadgets, and I think what Nolan is going for in his Batman films is trying to make them sort of realistic. You make a good arguement though.
During the nineteen forties Batman was created as a vigilante hero. the origional wore no cape, had no gadgets and drove a heavy black ford. at the time this aspired youngsters and gave them a hero to associate with. then the camp colourful tv show (which has comedic genius woven into its style). I think it was the re-telling of the Batman mixed with the visions of dark Knight comics and influence of Tim Burtons gothic tones which sreadied the Batman format. In which Albert "repairs" most stuff.
Later this was seen to be a bit far fetched, how the hell did Wayne hide all this money? He had a loyal insider and burned down Wayne Manor! There are those even more hidden loyalists to the cause but there idenities are even a mystery to Albert and to Lucas. Like commmisioner Gordon does not know Batmans identity we do not know those who have stumbled into the frame work but must inevitably help to protect themselves (The accountant who tries to blackmail Lucas) Batman is not black+white!
all in all, these movies aren't perfect. This is what happens when one tries to take Batman too seriously, which is why I,m more used to see him in the old Tim Burton films. But really, who cares? it's a movie. Enjoy it for what it is.
You definitely have some experience in compiling videos, man. Looks nice and shiny. I have already watched The Dark Knight (wich I liked more than any comic-based movie ever) but the video is fine)))
hey jokerfans me and my friends have just started a fanclub of batman the dark knight and joker here on youtube groups please come and enjoy this group
Though Dark Knight was amazing, there was too much going on, should of saved Twoface for a later film (only coz i want them to make more :D) I liked Begins better coz it was simpler didnt overwhelm you and the stars werent fighting for screen time. Ledger was amazing love him actually came out of the film wanting to be the joker rather than Batman...therefore i've devised a formula
You bastard faggot son of a whore, Batman DID KILL Ra's men in the beginning of Begins in the Temple explosions you faggot. He set the explosion. And hit the reply button if you address me you son of a whore faggot queer child molester.
And Two-Face is dead also you gay faggot. Their was a body on the floor and Batman and Gordon refer to him in a past tense. You bastard retarded faggot MTV gen Schumucher fan faggot.
someones touchy avnt u gt any insults other than phaggot wat r u 4 years old u were right about rass men he did kill them but two face isnt dead u dnt c his body u prick they talk bout him in the past tense because harvey dent is dead nt two face ok phaggot
Two-face fell. If he died, Bruce/Batman and Gordon wouldn't give a crap about his reputation or the need to protect it, therefore Batman wouldn't need to put the blame on himself and run off with Gordon chasing him.
The Batman put the blame on that one.. I can't picture Twoface still alive.. Cause, even if the police will ask them who killed those people and twoface was still alive, twoface wouldn't shut up, he will just end up answering back "I killed those people cause they Killed Rachel ! ! ! " Cause

actually, batman didn't have a cape, but he had "wings" based off a leonardo da vinci design. eventually it became a normal cape.
ratedtriplex 3 years ago
Later this was seen to be a bit far fetched, how the hell did Wayne hide all this money? He had a loyal insider and burned down Wayne Manor! There are those even more hidden loyalists to the cause but there idenities are even a mystery to Albert and to Lucas. Like commmisioner Gordon does not know Batmans identity we do not know those who have stumbled into the frame work but must inevitably help to protect themselves (The accountant who tries to blackmail Lucas) Batman is not black+white!
DrDouglasDark35 3 years ago
all in all, these movies aren't perfect. This is what happens when one tries to take Batman too seriously, which is why I,m more used to see him in the old Tim Burton films. But really, who cares? it's a movie. Enjoy it for what it is.
Ecchiman 3 years ago
BLASPHEMY! JK batman was originally very campy and over the top so yeah tim burton did a better job imo.

Catwoman or Talia al Ghul should come in the next movie.
zerox701 3 years ago 4
Talia Al Ghul should because it would relate the film to Batman Begins.
KeshK123 3 years ago 2
And of course the Return of Ra's Al Ghul AND WE CAN SEE the origins of the Lazarus pit.

You definitely have some experience in compiling videos, man. Looks nice and shiny. I have already watched The Dark Knight (wich I liked more than any comic-based movie ever) but the video is fine)))

They should do a villian they haven't done yet.
evilmm80 3 years ago
They should do Rupert Thorne, the dude who hires Deadshot to kill Batman. It would be perfect now that
*SPOILERS*
Gotham already is hunting for Batman.
that70sguy2000 3 years ago 4
harley quinn

Bane would be cool, though they kind of did a crappy version of him in the third movie from the 90s.
**Spoiler**
I'd like to see Bullock go after Batman too.

Joker (ledger)+Batman Begins = Perfection.
Crude i knw and im sure not the opinion of all.

crazemelon 3 years ago
not quite because the guy who played him said he would return for another movie so i dont think he is dead
laugherty07 3 years ago 2
Two-face fell. If he died, Bruce/Batman and Gordon wouldn't give a crap about his reputation or the need to protect it, therefore Batman wouldn't need to put the blame on himself and run off with Gordon chasing him.
TakutoTurk 3 years ago
even if he DID die, the cops still need to know who killed those people; they cant let a killer roam free.
Simonc319 3 years ago
yeah they think its batman. didnt u hear the end of scene? thats why there chasing him now
XtremeXperts 3 years ago
The Batman put the blame on that one.. I can't picture Twoface still alive.. Cause, even if the police will ask them who killed those people and twoface was still alive, twoface wouldn't shut up, he will just end up answering back "I killed those people cause they Killed Rachel ! ! ! " Cause
