following jesus is not a price we pay, for no one can possibly pay it by will of the flesh. it is a gift. why? if i give to the poor or suffer martyrdom but have no love it is worthless. How do i come to love Him? By his giving to me FIRST, for of myself i have nothing to offer.
get this wrong, turn discipleship into a cost, and you deny grace, you deny christ and are a legalist striving in the flesh.
the discples followed Jesus as the MET him personally. without this is legalism
