  • Anyone know where I can download this? I-Tunes has it (but not this live version). Amazon has the album (but I just wanted this particular song)

  • Just not the same without the anguished moaning

  • She's good, but, I think Cote de Pablo (Agent Ziva David on NCIS) has he beat. And, Cote sings it in French.

  • She is amazing in concert. She performed the intro to Devil May Care at roughly double speed, when I saw her last. She never missed a beat. Amazing musician...

  • Except for the longer nose, Diana has a lot of Elvis features. The eyes, the lips and even the corner lip curl. Check it out!

  • sin comentarios...

  • Just had to watch again even though I purchased Temptation yesterday! Glad that I did for two reasons! 1st: The actual "sound" of the intro, so unique and different, plus hearing that great beat from your trio "first" was so good, loved that so much! And then you of course with your awesome voice, so extra sultry on this song, "Temptation", that you made the song "yours!" Even noticed the holding down the strings to add to that new sound! Loved it! 2nd: the word SINGER (below) was cut...LOL

  • Sultry, Sensual as ever Diana! Always was and still is the best in that style of singing and this video shows a different arrangement! I like that too because it features your wonderful band right from the start! Your guitarist, superb! Your bass, I always loved and then your drummer who keeps it all together!

They were in the "spotlight" at the very beginning and I liked that! You arranged that so different and so perfect!

And then quietly, sensually you "topped it off!" when you began sin

  • love that bass!

  • That is one of the best group musical masturbatory moments I've every experienced.

  • One of the best performance i ever heard.

  • отлично!!!! хорошая версия!

  • 44 dislikes have absolutely no business listening to music. They haven't a clue what music is. They should shoot themselves. Honestly and completely.

  • Gave me an orgasm.

  • Beautiful song thank you so much

  • She is The Voice....

  • The original poster of this vid has OBVIOUSLY never heard this track on a good high-end audio system. Played on a properly set-up rig, with high-quality equipment, this recording is considered by many to be a "benchmark" for testing the fidelity of high-end audio systems. The bass is punchy and tight, the drum set is delightfully crisp and open, and Krall's piano has a vivid, broad, and VERY lifelike soundstage. And when Diana starts to sing, the hairs on the back of your neck will stand up...

  • @stereodreamer23

agree 100 pct. I test my audio equipment at home with rhis track very often...

  • Maksfoto

agree 100 pct. I test my audio equipment at home with rhis track very often...

  • @stereodreamer23 My friend, I came to this video, JUST to make the comment you made!!! Exactly the same things you said. I usually dont hang around on youtube for music, like you said, high-end stuff is what I listen to.

  • Diana Krall defines the word "sizzle".

  • She can play a piano like the true sring instrument that it is. I am a piano player myself and have been for decades. And although I will never be able to hold a candle to the likes of the immortal DK, she has taught me things the intrument can do that my many music teachers never even imagined! Play on, DK. We love your style! All haters---FO!

  • best bas ever..

  • This video should be called 'Diana Krall makes love to piano'.

  • She is such a phenominal musician - an inspiration - to all female musicians (especially me, although I will never even be able to untie her shoes, with regards to musicianship.) An amazing woman. Love her!

  • Any pianist who puts a fist into the works and pulls it off is just f-ing amazing! Wow! I am so impressed.

  • Everytime I hear her sing I just wanna have sex with her voice... Seriously her voice is just so.........

  • Peter Freakin' Erskine

  • watching her sing this song, at times it is like something reaches into my chest....

diana has the most hypnotic voice I have ever heard. She makes this song almost "surreal".

  • Very charming:)

  • Crazy song by a crazy guy. LOVE IT!!! love how she sticks her hand in the piano and deadens the strings. She can tickle the ivories and she's a looker too.

  • doesn't she fart? i could not sit like that and not fart

  • @GREENBINGBONG STFU troll

  • To me Holly Cole's version has much more tension, but this one's nice also.

  • a ki le veu!! je vou saimmmmme

  • That double bass player is awesome. I still prefer tom wait's version but this is also great

  • @loumaTROM The way he hits those strings, it's like he's carving shards of smoke for notes.

  • Tasty Tune! These folks are the best technicians!

She had some troubled waters then..........I can tell in her .....tune!

    God Bless Them all!

    thanks,

    BJ KaBoom

  • Au début j'étais frappée par le minimalisme qui l'emporte à la fin, mais enfin- pourquoi pas?

  • This is so awesome!

  • intro is bad. but speaking about Diana's voice - there's nothing left to say but BRAVO!!!! This is so damn beautiful!!!

  • @RedAvika- disagree dear friend, the intro is beautifully distorted and kooky! ....so right about that voice though! :)

  • @RedAvika I don't get it, what's wrong with the intro? Am I the only one who actually likes it? :D

And her voice is superb of course.

  • @MrIbanez No you're not the only one who likes it.I like everything about this

  • are you kidd'n me! WOW

  • Einfach genial .....

  • Best Temptation I have ever felt from a piano player...................

  • She plays great! she Sings great! just love her!

If you too love PIANO please check out my videos!

  • Stunning intro!! Etc......! The whale solo .. cool at the coolest!!!

  • Check out my rendition of Hound Dog!

  • The best Diana Krall song ever!

  • The intro is toooo sexual.

  • The only woman in the world which is a nice blond, can play the piano and sing true, this is a favorite performer of the piano

  • D K is Soooooooooooooooo....!

  • simply marvellous!!

  • She probably plays better than she sings. She is an excellent excellent player

  • @jeppesen99

You probably didn't listen to her voice. But you're right, I wish, I could play like her.

  • @jeppesen99 ....and SHE will even tell you that. By her own admission, she never thought she had a good voice. It took a long time for people (such as Elvis Costello) to convince her to sing. Now that she does, however...her voice is so amazingly sensual and soulful....as good as (or better than) most. I for one think her singing touches deep within the soul. Her piano technique goes without saying.

  • Stratus media group owns, operates, and hosta 4 jazz festivals a year. The Napa, Maui, and Santa Barbara Jazz Festivals, and the Maui Music Festival. These are all great events! Stratus media a publicly traded company that is very diversified by owning over 140 live entertainment events. Very compelling investment opportunity!

  • Love it!!!!

  • really? a les paul? lame

  • Fabulous arrangement and DK nails the vocal as only she can.

  • This song is totally owned by Krall, the piano and the Bass.........

  • With all respect to Tom Waits, this lady does something else with the song, she has soul.

  • @MrAmrHafez Are you saying that Waits doesnt have soul? Krall sounds like all the other jazzy ladies out there. No one has shit on Waits.

  • FANTASTIC!

  • It was good up til the end, except for the drums and bass, it hardly sounded like anything. Good song otherwise.

  • @ultimabass I dont agree... Dont the drum and bass soud good to you? When?

  • I like the way she touches the springs inside the piano! Its sounds interesting. Newer seen it done before.

  • Great song! I prefer the Tom Waits original but this is a great

    cover.

  • Perfeito!!!Absolutamente perfeito!Com a super voz dessa mulher...chegamos ao céu.

  • Tom Waits apo thn Diana !!!! Αnte kai kalo sas vrady !!!!

  • Це рівегь, найвищий рівень..!!!...!!!...!!!

    Ustym

  • Це рівень, найвищий рівень...!!!...!!!...!!!

  • So beautiful this song, I have played this with Paula Gómez and her band and can never tire of playing great songs by amazing songwriters.

  • excelente inter....excelentes musicos...

  • Der Contrabass-Mann ist echt klasse !

  • I have never ever seen anyone play a piano like that "fabulous" Great interpretation of a great song.

  • coooolll....

  • The sound engineers did a brilliant job too. The levels are perfect and the tone is just sweet in every respect.

The musicians, well, it goes without saying that this is sublime.

  • lindaaaaaaaaaa demais

  • @lenogato

nice, but they fight one or two leagues below this.

  • @versatilesmil3

    |:cm7/9, G7:| repeat in verse

    fm7, cm7, fm7, Ab7 G7 (refrain)

quiet simple, Tom Waits hasn't that much practice.

  • quite ;)

  • Get some good speakers and take the bass down through the amplifier.

Or better still throw away the guitar and do the bass!

  • Great song.

  • this make me crazy it is perfecttttttttttt

  • Diana Krall has all the Jazz - 5* fantastic vocals.

First heard waites version in that Sharon Kane movie where she does the 70's version of 'my jamaican empire' with the Aunt Peg's allstars.

Although they were good I think Krall has the Jazz factor,

  • Awesome

    So slowly...!

  • for me the intro just intelligent... even if seems not appealing at the first sight... wow. i can literally see tom waits sitting there... like a wooden block, if you look closer you can really feel the energy which is strained to kept inside... a stressful holding back of longing

  • That was great!!!

  • Watashi wa Diana Krall daisuki desu!!!

  • ore mo!

  • Tom Waits

  • Magistraal !!

  • Ignoro el perquè m'agrada tant aquesta cançó.

    No, no,

que ningú m'ho expliqui, si us plau.

  • The drummer is just awesome...the way he plays at 1:55 :D Diana's voice is magic!

  • Молодцы!!!!!!!!

  • awesome!

  • Sweeeeeet!

  • Ohh this song...no words for that feeling:) Sooo moving, insiring. :):) The bass is soo fantastic at the beginning. And the piano..ahh:):)

    Thank you!!!

    Köszönöm az élményt!:)

  • MUY muy BUENO, THANKS !!

  • amaizing voice!!!

  • I love this song!! Addicted to it... ;)

  • @Smileycurly Me too :)

  • Fantastic performance, though I like the original better. She screwed up the intro, yeah, but that transition she does at 3:38 is pure magic!!

  • love this video. love this song. love diana krall. love love love. did I mention love.

  • Diana Krall IS pure jazz and, can do whatever she wants...Dig it!... :)

  • you're saying diana krall cannot play piano????? oh, man!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @Succhiateste WWhhooo the HELL say so??, with all respect, he/she even shouldn´t exist!!

  • Más desafinado y mal..... imposible !!!!!!

  • I don't think "female" is the issue here. As a matter of fact, "female" is more appropriate in temptation stereotype. The problem with Diana Krall is that she tries to intellectualize a very carnal instinct. Too bad she doesn't get it. I have to also admit my "anti-Krall" bias.

  • I don't agree but you are at least honest. And not ride at all.

  • not rude LOL sorry

  • é um verdadeiro delírio, uma delícia contagiante e uma viagem longa e serena.... uau! (BRASIL)

  • great version but she should get a piano player

  • @tilefono200 You should either post someting proving you can do better or not comment on things you know nothing about. One or the other...............just sayin'.

  • My dear friend Sofia,

  • This perfomance is really spectacular.

It has a special and magic touch.

    I enjoyed listening it.

Thanks so much for this great share.

  • Thanks so much my wonderful friend Sofia, for this wonderful share.

this is truly beautiful, very intersting indeed.

new to me,but i really enjoy it.

  • If you are not a fan of Jazz you are going to be somewhat disappointed with some of what Diana Krall does with a variety of songs that she covers. Rhythms will be different, chords may clash with what one's ear is accustomed to. Jazz as an idiom is creative and open and may or may not be one's cup of tea.

  • Tom's voice/inflections are dripping with temptation, her voice is flat, without inner reverberation. Listen to Tom Waits: you fall into temptation, only to fear it the next moment. Here everything is neutral, impersonal. Temptation is not! Sorry Diana Krall, do you average gig stuff and stay out of the depths that can kill you.

  • thanks botany

  • Simplesmente a melhor!!!

    Samuel de Bona

    Lisboa

  • Unbelievable.

  • simply fantastic. sultry, and subdued.

  • Dobry głos na jazzowe interpretacje jednak sama muzyka mnie nie zachwyciła... zatracili ten magiczny nastrój z oryginału Waitsa. A szkoda.

  • The first cut of Temptation by Ms. Diana Krull was sultry, hypnotic and real. You felt the lyrics crawl up your blood stream and hit your weakness -- you remember what it is. This recording doesn't do the cut justice. The melody is off and the lyrics lose their power in this candy coated and prostituted version. Come on Diane. It would have went over better had you just belted it out.
