People needing assistance with there BOV install go to Z1motorsports and look up Blow off valve they will have pictures and instructions on how to do it.
did you make sure to hook up a vacuum line to the balance tube? connect to vacuum lines..one to each BOV, and put them to a T fitting and then run one line to a vacuum source on the balance tube. should be on the left side (ps).
take out the stock recircs and put whatever you got into the tubes the recircs came out of. make sure to cap off the intake tubing sides next to the air box.
sport 500s are in no way a waste of money, for 600r's i would need to get 5 bolt downpipes, i have 4...i would need better injectors than my 555's, and the list goes on. im not looking for a powerhouse, im fine with making 450 hp.
S30TurboZ. You obviously dont know what compressor surge is. He was barely giving it throttle which means he was probably just blowing off vacumn. All blow off vlaves make that fluttering sound when you do that. Watch some of his other videos. It shows the bov's making a solid sound when he's hitting full boost. The hks ssqv's are in my opinion the best bov on the market. You don't have to adjust them for the boost you are running. So how can they be set-up inadequate for the application?
Anyway, the flutter sounds really cool but it means your BOV isn't working correctly/is inadequate for the application. The backpressure forces the compressor wheel to spin the opposite direction, greatly reducing its life.
i agree.. sport 500's arent worth the cost. there hardly better than stock.. why spend 1k+ to make barely 50 more horses when just saving a little more can get you wayyyyyy higher numbers

hows your side mount intercoolers getting any air wen you have the na bumper on, it doesnt have the vents in the side for your intercoolers

no it's called compression surge. it's when the turbine spins backwards..it's not good.

Compression surge comes from the TURBOS, not the bovs....

there is no tension/adjustment on the new model of the HKS SSQV.
Its supposed to be a perfectly balanced Bov that seals itself up with more boost.
Ok again? why does it flutter like that.
Any bov with an adjustible spring can do that with less tension on the valve. so how do you adjust the new style HKS BOV? Maybe this BOV just sucks.

Dont get sport 500's.
There a BIG waste of money, there just a tad bigger then stock turbo's.
Save for the z1600r's. There gt28r Ball Bearing turbos.
Much more worth it!
I had a 300zx, now I have a 350z, its slower :(
