  • I assume it's a good and convenient service offered to passengers.

  • ok, so the MTR announces stations. What's so bad about that? Also, Hong Kong is a bilingual language society: English and Chinese (Cantonese and Mandarin). At least they announce it in English for you dumb tourists to not trip on the platform gaps.

  • is knowing three languages supposed to be bad thing? Most people in HK can speak Cantonese, Mandarin and English, three language. Better than you one language gimps

  • what's special?

  • Well, I hope you guys enjoyed your stay in HK. Well, I guess that the reason why their announcements come so frequent is becuase at peak hour the compartments are so packed with people, and the crowd blocks you from seeing what the station sign is when the train stops, especially if you are sittting/standing away from the windows.....

but of course, it matters only if you r travelling at peak hours.

  • These announcements r for dumb tourists like u guys who don't have such hi-tech transportation systems back where ur originally from to listen, so that you won't get ur asses caught between the doors.

  • LOL

  • its good like that, so its like for the tourists like you guys that dont know a second language to understand what they do instead of getting snapped by the doors
