Interesting Idea, but if I wanted powered flight, I would just get a small trike. Much more comfortable, more capable, and you dont break your legs on a bad landing. My friend had a small trike with a 25 HP single cylender engine, cutest little thing you ever saw.
I don`t know jack about this sport but I really want to take it up.
Do you need like a licence and are there only certain places that people can go gliding in the UK....Sorry but I`m a novice and sure to get all the answers.
look up on the net airways airsports or alternativly lejair both schools will give you CP clup pilot licence. cost from £100-£1700 can complete in a couple of weeks if you are dedicated. quite a few clubs and flying sites, ridge sites towing and winching clubs and x country competitions
See our website at the beginning of the film. go to the foot launched area of the site and then to the ordering section, the world wide dealers are at the bottom of the page.
Cheers mate!

Go and have a look at the Dragonfly, Flylight's lightweight trike.
You can see it on my list of movies.

Brilliant - what kind of an engine does power these?
RSleepy 4 years ago
It uses a Swedish air cooled 2 stroke, the Radne Raket Aero 120, which gives around 14 hp. More than enough for this application.

cool thanks

That would be the VI WW2 flying bomb, not our product.

A doodle bug would be a pulse jet, correct?

Typical of you tube - he knows nothing of the subject matter, but is ready to give an acidic opinion.
