In the UK I believe you don't have to consent to a random search, the cops rely on social compliance and a bit of bullying to trick you into giving up your rights. In the UK I believe you don't have to consent to a random search, the cops rely on social compliance and a bit of bullying to trick you into giving up your rights. So when asked ,"We would like to search you,put our arms out please" this question disguised as a command should be countered with "I do not consent to any search of my person or personal belongings, nor do I consent to you touching me in any way" We are innocent until proven guilty and the cops need good reason to search you.
