I don't think there could have been a more perfect ending. Better to leave off with the incredibly powerful moment that we know they all recognize eachother than to have the lovely song end and August be all like hey! Not only is the climatic moment over, but for the next several minutes it would be "Where have you been??", "I can't believe I didn't know you were my son!", "I didn't mean to put you up for adoption!" etc. It'd subtract from the tearjerker that is this final scene.
it doesnt truely dissapoint if you believe miricles can happen, to take a stretch of imagination and see a ray of light in it that takes you to where you need to be why not believe.
i see those who have loved ove rtime and distance find something to gether when it was ment to happen and the look is confirmation that all parties know it to be fact... try to keep up..
it doesnt truely dissapoint if you believe miricles can happen, to take a stretch of imagination and see a ray of light in it that takes you to where you need to be why not believe.
After hearing this, the only thing my eyes want to, is crying, but tears of hapiness, this rhapsody brings me to tears... it's just like it can make me feel not only the saddest things i've been trough, but the happiest things as well, this music is amazing, just that, freaking awesome :')
@xbasket12x I read that you play cello. I have not seen this film but I can see why some people may hate it from the clips I have seen. Im just interested of what you thought was bad about this film?
@MrFaulconbridge Why it was bad? Look at the conducting....the cello playing from that despicable woman.....its just PURE acting. No real playing involved. And especially that kid conducting, just mindless flailing arm movements to compensate for the fact that he is looking like he is conducting.
@xbasket12x Her cello playing is real. Not Keri Russel's, but the woman at 1:23. This is the actual New York Philharmonic that is playing. They really were featured in this movie.
@OxyTintin Actually, the New York Philharmonic was paid to have their name used, but the musicians you see in the movie were just freelancers put together for the filming in New York. They are not really the New York Philharmonic. They are also not actually playing the music you hear. The music was recorded in a studio in Hollywood by a freelance orchestra and the film's editors pieced everything together (video and audio) to make it look somewhat like a performance. Hollywood Magic!
@neverland147 That would definitely make a little more sense. :P But, I watched a video on YT called "Keri Russell learns the Cello", and at one point (1:10 to be exact) she mentioned performing in from on the NYP. I mean, I know that her performances were not the actual recordings used, but I just assumed that the actual orchestra was featured.
at 4:13- 4:50 i get chills.... first of all i love the song (moondance) . i love how he looks up at the moon as if he was thanking it. and i love how that was the song that lyla and louis heard when they met.... beautifully done.
Okay my music teacher is making us watch this and we got to the beginning of this part and we had to switch classes and I really wanted to see the ending!
I don't understand that there's crap like High School musical and that almost all the teenagers like that and think that what Justin Bieber and Lady Gaga,... make is real music while you have movies and music like this. Real music isn't appreciated these days but I'm happy that they still make some good movies :)
@Channel076 real music is a matter of opinion bro, some people think this kind of music sucks doesnt mean they dont have taste, you listen to a song because it makes you happy thats why there are many different songs out there and i personally love gaga shit i even listen to a britany song once in a while there are some songs out there that change your life, i love classical music, oldies metal, goth..r&b ect it's not the music it's the person listening to it =). Also ty for upload i love this♥
I get goosebumps whenever i see this movie, especially this part. especially when jamia sings, i simply love her and i love this song and i love music =D
I think it was the perfect ending. The whole point of his rhapsody wasn't to end up in their arms, it was merely to lure his parents to him, to find the ones who gave him the music. The ending shows that accomplishment and nothing more and I'm glad they spared the sappy embelishments of the "reunited in each others arms".
Great movie. The ending disappoints though. It's not enough to see the family smile at eachother, we wanted to see them reunited and in eachothers arms!
i love this movie so much, although i am sorry i was so upset on how it ended at first because i wanted more, it's like when he touches her hand i was like yesss and then she looks at him and laughes and that was it.
i think it was because their one night stand created a musical prodigy and they were so proud of him the were more focussed on that then their own relationship.
that lady in the bckground around 6:00 smiling is just funny, who smiles like that lol.....maybe she wanted to be noticed in da movie or just likes the music that much
BEST. MOVIE. EVER. I'm like, the most obsessed fan of this film... First it was just because of Freddie Highmore but now.... I <3 the movie in and of itself. Just too perfect.
