Nice setup. Tell me one thing. Why will anyone replace the original humble brushed motor which draws just about 8 amp and flies the bird beautifully with a BL motor which will drain larger current and means less endurance? Let us leave the life of motor aside.
@singhparambir Well, I believe after while one might looking for more power, longer and faster flight besides the benefits of Li Po batteries. But as you said the stock motor is sufficient for the bigging. Good luck with your flight
I had a skyfly former version. It was very easy to fly and handled lots of abusing. I know that Skyfly 2 comes with servo posh rod instead of pulling tread which gives better movement authority. So technically you don't need to do any mod. Later on you might be interested to more power and switch to brushless. But for start it is a very nice plane.
im thinking about switching out the wild hawk wings and putting Easy Star wings on it instead. People are telling me that it flies much easier and better with those wings.
very very good video

was the 25 am esc enough for the brushless motor?
boywaimea 1 year ago
@boywaimea the motor that I am using is 2409-12d from hobby king. 24A esc can handle it.

Does the ribbon help with stability? I would imagine it makes it a bit less twitchy in windier conditions.

@hisworhipfullness Good thought. I might increasethe stability, I just attached that for fun. :)

cool vid! I just bought a Wild Hawk rc plane as my first plane. these gliders with the prop mounted up high seem like the best starter planes.

You r absolutely right. I learnt flying with EZ star. Wild Hawk is similar in flying characteristic. EZ star is a little bit tougher .

Seems good idea

easystar has preset dihedral at the fuselage? nice setup - wildhawk doesnt have any dihedral unless you count the wingtips
pudd750 2 years ago
I believe it doesn't have dihedral at the fuselage but at the tips of the wing. Two wiglets connected by a carbon tubes straightly.

Cool! Just built one of these with a Brushless. Hope to take it out tomorrow for the first time.
Did you mount your motor inside or outside somehow?
SBPStudio 3 years ago
Thanks, The motor is an out runner installed outside using aluminum month.
