  • is it for game cube soon?

  • Miyamoto is awesome I love him <3

  • 3:25

I had the same problems on the final version... meh

I'll be playing Twilight Princess ON GAMECUBE

  • miyato and him japanese teletransfort!!!!! xD!!!!

  • thumbs up if you smiled at 4:20

  • @2497moe y would u?

  • @MrOneyoung it just seems like he's having a lot of fun, and his expression when he hit the eye was like he was happy with what he'd done.

  • Why are they acting like everything is going well? Just say: "sorry, there are wireless interferences in this room", Miyamoto D:

  • I got through this area in a couple of hours. It took miyamoto two hours to move 12 feet.

  • Awkward moment when a Japanese game designer speaks English nah JK not weird

  • best shield and no defense bar? must be a beta

  • DSP was right; even Miyamoto has problems with motion controls. It wasn't "wireless", that was a bullshit excuse, nor was it a result of an "old build" - it would of no doubt been polished to perfection for E3; many people on the E3 showfloor had no problem with it, just as many people have no problem with it today. It is purely a case of motion controls being an analog, unreliable control medium, which can ofttimes provide random, unsolicited results, leading to much warranted frustration.

  • @Viwd

Heh, DSP. I chuckled a bit.

  • @suhbastian Yes, I watched this video to see if DSP was right about Miyamoto having problems with the controls at E3, and yes he did. So yes, he was right about that, chuckle all you want.

  • @Viwd

Actually idiot, it WAS the whole wireless thing, and just to prove it to you: /watch?v=QEge_2Vuft0

  • fail demonstration= fail game

  • @TheLink9000 this footage was from a year ago. the game wasnt complete

  • motion control doesn't suck play it its FINE

  • GOTYs

    1. Skyrim

    2. Assassin's Creed Revelations

    3. Skyward Sword

  • @defiantBlaze AC is not even close to being GOTY lol. Uncharted 3 and arkham city are

  • @defiantBlaze yeah assassins creed is the same game. not in the top 3, maybe not in the top 10

  • @NYBaller92

    @MrDavidPorges

    Haters gonna hate.

  • @defiantBlaze shit comment

  • @MadFelps

    Lol, you mad?

  • @defiantBlaze nope, I'm a nomad

  • Omg Miyamoto is so adorable! I just want to cuddle him and thank him for everything he has done...simultaneously!

  • controls are delayed??

  • @razer This is from almost two years ago, they're perfect now.

  • Nice display of the unresponsive and inaccurate control scheme Miyamoto!

  • @TheMastaBeef Play the game, the controls are fine. Too much wireless interference at E3.

  • this was a pretty fail demonstration tbh

  • He's so white. xD

  • i did the whole game and i cannot describe how much this game deceive me. The last zelda (Twilight Princess) was epic with a huge map and now 5 years later tey give us this crap. this game is just temple after temple after temple and before you know it .... it's done. they put all their budget in that wii remote control thing and it's not so awesome.... plus i hate those cell-shaded graphic. the worst zelda i ever played.

  • @pAtR218 Go away TROLL! It's an amazing game:O Twilight princess was unimpressive.

  • @weerankin other way around. This one is way to similar to twilight princess, but twilight princess was much better. Even the graphics are similar.

  • @pAtR218 i actually was kinda dissapointed with twilight princess, but you're right about the pacing this game has, it doesn encourage you to explore and the overworld its kinda boring

  • "Fuck the disabled"

    ~ Miyamoto

  • NEEDED FISHING :(

  • @sandwichofshadows I was so disapointed they had no fishing!!! I thought they would better it from Twilight Princess. Plus that was one of the main reasons people even wanted TP was for fishing lolol

  • this is retarded release a controller version or f' off

  • If Miyamoto is learning English, then I shall LEARN JAPANESE.

  • Why they have such a hard time. I palying the game and its easy, maybe they don't have motion plus.

  • @abyssDT LAL you cant play the game without motionplus HAHAHA NEBBKEJJKWARNING

  • @abyssDT HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHHAAHHAHAHAHH you need motionplus to play this game HAHAHAHAHAHA

  • wireless devices will destroy hyrule

  • it will be bought tuesday

  • miyamoto looks like a goomba, no?

  • i am playing it now.

  • Sensor Bar was facing his back.

  • @RawrinRaybies Motionplus doesn't use the sensor bar. It's all done within the remote now.

  • @AlexPlaysGames The gyroscope is still dependent on it's relative position to the sensor bar.

  • @RawrinRaybies Incorrect. Go to aim (bow, slingshot, whatever) something and then face away from the sensor bar, or move to a position where it normally wouldn't pick it up. Center the motionplus (down arrow, isn't it?) and you'll find it works completely independently now. Why would a gyroscope require a sensor bar to function? This is why it requires calibration at the beginning; because it doesn't have a "relative position" to reference automatically.

  • @AlexPlaysGames Try playing without a sensor bar, is what I'm trying to say.

Either way, not once did Miyamoto stop to recenter his remote. So it's obvious that the malfunction occurred due to either the gyro systems being imperfect at the time, or a sensor bar glitch.

  • @RawrinRaybies If the sensor bar was required for what he was doing (which, again, he wasn't) then it'd be down to that. As it wasn't, it was most likely a flawed control system, which makes sense considering this is a year before the games release.

  • @RawrinRaybies That should say "it wasn't". Whoops!

  • @AlexPlaysGames Yeah man, this was way early. I'm really curious as to what sort of ideas they scrapped within those 5 years.

The game's great so far though, TP never kept me drawn to keep playing as SS has been able to so far. Have you played it yet?

  • Nintendo drums up how the next Legend of Zelda will use 1:1 swordplay, yet interference made the controls look like downright shit during Skyward Sword's primere when in reality, they're the most accurate motion controls to hit the shelves yet.

When I first watched this, I figured it might be the position of the sensor, but it seemed silly to think they miscaluculated its placement, so this terrible performance did make me cringe some. Miyamoto must've been pissed.

  • it must be very hard to talk over him

  • thank you for a soon to be another amazing legend of zelda :)

  • I think the wireless interference was probably caused by overexcited fans trying to text/phone their friends and family saying that they got to see Miyamoto in person... it's unfortunate that it messed up the whole presentation.

  • The controls don't seem to be intuitive. Why should a player struggle just to reflect a missile from an octorok? I know why this game is getting top scores. Because it has 'zelda' in the title. Maybe I'm jumping the gun and should play it first. But from what I've seen, all it's doing is giving me a warm nostalgia of Ocarina Of Time.

  • @ravenfirepheonix same with COD,,, i don't know why people buy COD every year when it is basicly the same. As soon as kids see the title COD they want it. ME, as soon as i see a Zelda trailer that means i must wait 2 -5 years for the game.

  • @ravenfirepheonix they were having technical issues. I have the game and the controls work perfectly fine

  • thanks miyamoto

  • this demo was a failure bc of the wireless interference. this demo made a lot of people say screw SS, had there been no problem it woulda been the best demo of a new zelda ever. this game will b phenominal!

  • @MrJbpuffinstuff Nope. It was screwed up because they were too early in development.

  • Even though I hate Motion controls with a passion, I will still buy this game. Zelda is my favourite series no matter what!

  • Still think Zelda needs to go back to actual controller platforms. Enough of this motion-sensor crap, bring back the good old days of gaming!

  • @SuperSenshi in my opinion, Zelda got even better with motion-sensing

  • miyamoto looks like a samurai and link looks like a heroe xD!

  • i really hope they kept all the hidden skills from twilight princess.. those were awesome

  • me encanta como miyamoto demuestra que de verdad se divierte jugando un juego, no es como muchos de los diseñadores que en el E3 se ven como si estubieran en un velorio

  • I have been playing Zelda for over 20 years and I must say the water color art design is awsome. If my Gamestop is having a midnight release I am taking the last of my vacation time so I can give the new game it's do. i try to picture my childhood without Miyamoto and cry.

  • Please, tell me that you will be able to use the controller! they say you need to have a wii motion plus cotroller to play it right? then ill just plug my classic pro controller into the wii motion pluss and problem solved? or am i wrong? :(

  • @LightningRapture i think you are wrong dude sorry dont forget the game isnt finished yet they will improve the motion and also my friend download it and he said the motion is great it was probably soome tech problems at the e3

  • @LightningRapture Whoever told you that is extremely incorrect. This game uses a WII MOTION PLUS REMOTE and A NUNCHUCK. NOTHING ELSE.

  • the slingshot was the funniest shit ever too bad u cut it off

man this game is gonna suck

  • "its not that difficult"

*fails pathetically 30 times in a row*

  • whoaa awesome....

  • Link looks retarded constantly pointing his sword, especially whilst running.

The whole game looks retarded in my opinion. Twilight princess was by far the best game in the series so far. I Can't take Link seriously with these graphics. Q.Q / end of rant.

  • Twilight Princess looks like it had way better controls.

  • lol ! what happen with that Link, who´s controlling him ?

  • @lagrtz in the spanish nintendo magazine said: "Miyamoto hizo una demostración del juego, que se vio empañado por problemas técnicos"

i hope you're saying the truth xD

  • twilight princess and wind waker had a baby! Sweet! its so good to finally see some color in a game!

  • @theetimelincoln i agree

  • it looks a bit like wind waker ..... but cant wait untill it comes out

  • grande myamoto

  • the new zelda gameplay is pretty cool,

and i think the graphics are fine

  • What the franchises such as Silent Hill and Legend of Zelda don't understand is the original masterpieces SH2 SH3 and Ocarina of Time were good because they had emotional music and story. They only make parodies these days.

  • wow you know this game is gonna be hard when even miyamoto had trouble killing things

  • @Skidmarksownu1

That, or he is not standing in front of the wii bar thing, cause link is totally not holding the sword the way miyamoto does his wiimote. OR it needs some serious work to actually make the realistic swing thing to work like that in a 3-D kinda way.

Whichever it is, I hope this will be as awesome as I imagine it can be, because actually playing as link is pure awesomeness :D

    ~Jkun~

  • @Skidmarksownu1 the control was bad... I hope they make it better

  • Comment removed

  • @Skidmarksownu1 I think it was mostly because he was too far away from the screen. when it comes to certain games, its really hard for me to play them far away from the screen. like mario kart or any zelda game. there's also the fact that the motions are new for any zelda gameplay (i mean literal physical motions not Link's motions in the game)

  • @Amdragfan2 Distance would only be a problem if he were something like 60 ft from the system or more. Also, they already confirmed that the technical difficulties were due to wireless interference.

  • @theST1NG Guess that's true. Never really thought of that tbh. And I didn't know that last bit :/

  • @Amdragfan2 Yeah, the Wii remotes use bluetooth to communicate with the console. This allows for a strong connection even of you're pretty far away, but sometimes other wireless signals can get in the way and cause communication problems between the controller and the Wii. This is likely what happened at the E3 presentation. In fact, people who later demoed the game on the show floor said that they had no control problems at all.

  • @theST1NG Oh I knew that they use Bluetooth, i just didn't know that other wireless signals would interfere at that point in time of the stage demo

  • @Amdragfan2 Also, I think it's odd that you're having trouble playing certain Wii games from a distance as I've never had this problem before. If you're referring to the IR pointer acting glitchy, I recommend that you go to the Wii settings menu and select the sensor bar settings. From there you can adjust the pointer's sensitivity to better suit your playing distance. Just follow the onscreen directions and all should be better. Hope that helps! =)

  • @theST1NG It isn't a technical issue i'm talking about. I was talking about me playing the game itself. I can't play certain games from far away since i'm more used to being close to the screen and having a better view of all that's happening within the game

  • @Amdragfan2 Ah, I see... Still, I know several people who've had that problem and didn't know they could fix it rather easily. Anyway, sorry about the misunderstanding. lol

  • @Skidmarksownu1 It's only cause the controls are sorta unresponsive. Nintendo will be fixing that right away. Or I think they already did...

  • Apparently this control was not possessing Wii motion plus

  • miyamoto it's god in earth

  • que ganas de que llegueeee

  • The controls don't seem very responsive

  • @JazbaAndrew Yes, they were. Mainly because the receiver was farther away than intended, and it needs to be very precise for this new game.

Not that I'm blaming it entirely on this, but I know that when I sit in front of my TV I can play just fine, but when I try to play on a projector screen from twenty feet away its a lot harder. (My friends and I did this just because we could =P. It wasn't as big as the one hes using, though. Of course.)

  • @JazbaAndrew To add, I was playing TP and Galaxy, not SS, of course. The game isn't out yet =P

I suggest it would be even harder with Skyward Sword.

  • Miyamoto is a fucking genius.....

  • @SopranoPry ive been knowing about miyamoto for since ocarina of time, hes got to be like 1 of my most favorite people of all time! A Legend in video games !

  • Shigeru Miyamoto's so funny, loved his entrance XD

  • Dumbass Zelda is for nintendo it always has been it isn't for ps3 nor will it ever will be so just suck it up and buy a wii

  • Dumbass Zelda is nintendo it isn't for ps3 nor will it ever will be so suck it up and buy a wii

  • zelda's makers please make a zelda game for ps3 i just remember about this one zelda game not to long ago and im dissapointed i was about to go to the game store and buy me a a zelda game and i just realize their isnt one for ps3!what the hell thats just bull shit you must be kidding me!i use to play this one zelda game on nintendo 64 and the gameplay was just right on point so im begging you man to man take my advise make a zelda game for ps3 and you guys wontmake millions youll make trillions

  • @TheShellshock1992 You are incredibly stupid. Zelda is made from Nintendo. They own it. Sony nor any other company does. It will never happen. Just shut up and stop putting up comments you know little knowledge of.

  • u cant click it

  • Miyamoto is actually quite pro at playing Zelda xD

  • I hate the 68 who does not like

  • but like in twlight princess you can just hold it but in skyward sword you hav to hold the wii remote it like it is a sword and ithink they should change that

  • I feel like a jackass asking this but im broke atm so can anyone message me an unused registration sheet code for wii coins please they come with all the games,I am so close to geting an item i want!would be very thankful.

  • Too bad they forgot the sensor bar was behind them the whole time. Otherwise would've been a magnificent presentation.

  • graphics are graphics there both the same if your a true zelda fan then you would stop complaining and get over it

  • Man, I can't wait for its release!

Isn't there a playable demo of this game somewhere?

  • It's It's Toon Big Link!!!!!!!! :D

  • @Drover26 exactly XD

  • youd think a japanese guy would be better at using a sword

  • if the guy who made the game is having problems with the controls i fear for when i buy the game =/

  • i still prefer Zelda being short. :/

  • ...I really hope I don't suck at this...

  • Realistic grafics maybe be obsolete in short time, but cartoonize looks very wel for years. Only look Twilight princess and WindWaker, windwaker still amaizin in 2050.

  • @elautenticomalaka we'll it's what do you prefer to play a realistic zelda game or a cartoonish zelda game that matters .. because I've seen them both and I own twilight princess and I never thought about the wind waker

  • I must say, Nintendo definetly does not have the best graphics, but they definetly fit their cartoon style characters. I'm not sure I'd like a Yoshi on the PS3

  • i'm happy beacause the fanboys ofBattlefield and CoD are on a "war" so they're leaving us alone ZELDA FTW

  • Cartoon graphics are alot better within a Zelda game (I thing wind waker is best)

  • I like more de graphics of de twilight princess =( These graphics are less realistic

  • @PAUILITAAA I totes agree... with todays tech and gfx systems, its kinda sad when the gfx are a down grade in realism to the last game.

  • This game is going to be hard if it takes them that long to kill a dekababa

  • @theflyingfishmonger they said that the game was a bit unresponsive at the time due to wireless interfearence, so i'm sure thats the only reason it took so long :)

  • Saber que zelda a mejorado mucho aunque segun la cronologia dicen que es el primero de la historia

  • sweet wii motion plus :D i change my mind i will not sell my wii

  • "Very natural" and he's left-handed, yet playing with his right hand.

  • This Zelda thing just keeps getting better and better! I've been hooked on this fantasy hero's adventure since I was 6, so with the release of OOT 3d, and the excitement that this video creates... oh god, here come the tears.

  • My personal thought on the graphics is that I think the environment looks terrible, you got the badass link and enemies but then you got some kid-like mushrooms.

However the dungeons look better than they ever looked in ANY zelda game, so it all balances out

  • the wii mote didnt seem very responsive to these specific movements

  • @GreenJanuary there was wireless interference from phones and laptops. The actual game is very responsive.

  • @onkeljan1 have u played it?

  • I don't understand why people are complaining about the "graphics". The graphics aren't the problem, they're the same quality as Twilight Princess, maybe even better. Just because they decided to go with a more "cartoonist" style instead of the more Semi-realistic style in Twilight Princess doesn't lower it's quality. They're merely trying to convey a different tone or "feeling" since SS has such a distinct setting. Great art doesn't necessary mean more realistic, it's the message the behind it.

  • @krlozzz It was interference from camera's and phones. Check up recent gameplay and you will be amazed. Nintendo FTW!!

  • look at that... miyamoto moves the wiimote... but link in the game doesnt move a hair... hahaha nintendo sucks

  • did anybody notice that link was not fallowing the miyuzaki or whatever his name is movement's at all. This game looks like another piece of garbage wii motion plus game that is completely unresponsive to what you are doing.

  • Good lord, the comments on this video are the most horrible thing I've ever seen on the internet.

  • @xXMikotoNakadaiXx who cares about Nintendo these days? +_+

  • @DickArmeysTeaParty Wow, that was totally relevant to my comment.

  • This looks terrible

  • I don't care about the graphics honestly but they need to have the music. Imo Music made OoT so much better.

  • I didn't like The Windwaker's style... but god was it fun! I hope its the same with this one!

  • it doesnt really seem developed yet

  • Do you have to have Wiimotion plus to play ?
